I do have to say it was very well acted Growstuff. I would absolutely hate to grow up in today’s world.

In the spirit of full disclosure,I don't watch GB news, indeed no news in the morning. I listen to the radio. My news channel of choice is Channel 4.
In defence of the BBC, however, I am always amused by the fact that it is seen as too left - leaning by people on the right of the political spectrum, and too right- leaning by those on the left.
I can't help but feel that this means the balance is correct.

I think it’s easy to sneer at something you believe to be too lowbrow for you, but y’know it really isn’t and the breadth of subjects on GB is surprising and the debates lively.I like some presenters more than others and like to put it on at different times to find something that interests me.

The BBC is very biased
despite all their "fact check" claims. As is sky news, although I rather like Beth rigby and her podcast Electoral Disfunction.

DH has watched GB news for some time. I've refused to give it a chance because I assumed it to have a strong right wing bias. He always says they make a point of having all viewpoints.
Having read this thread think it's time I gave it a go.

I have no strong political allegiance but would say centre left.

Yes, definitely give it a go. I’m pretty sure you won’t be disappointed…..

GB News is, of course, as pure as the driven snow.

Each to their own.

As is the appalling BBC……🤗😂😂
I don’t think GB news has managed to find any paedophiles, unlike the BBC…. And paid them an enormous amount of money, and apparently they’re having a hell of a battle to get it back from the once “ sainted individual “🤓
I’ll stick with GB news thanks you can keep your BBC 😂😂

I'm not sure an apparent lack of paedophiles is much of a recomendation.

Bixiboo Thu 03-Jul-25 20:49:30

Totally agree with you Shinamae. I moved from BBC to GB news about a year ago and have never watched BBC since.

GB News mentioned a triple amputee who was sailing alone from Mexico to Japan in90 days for charity.

He had been pledged £5,000 but viewers and listeners of GB News donated a fantastic amount and he now has £51,978 after just a few hours.

They have thousands of generous viewers and listeners.

I absolutely and totally agree. It is a fantastic NEWS Program with fantastic topics and brilliant presenters, more power to their elbow 😁😁😁
Now I’ll just wait for the naysayers to say “it’s not a news program”.😂😂😂😂

Oh, it means night night! It's a moon 🙂

Oh yes she certainly did. You need to watch it again on YouTube.

That is to Growstuff

I apologise. Yes, she did once. Badenoch still didn't want to talk about it and lied through her teeth about her record on the issues.

The point is that although it did use actors and was fictional, it was extremely close to the reality of what's happening amongst many young people. The issues are real.

Badenoch didn't slap anybody down. She tried to wriggle out of what she was being asked - as usual.

Why would anyone think it's not like Karmalady to like GB News. What are you assumed to be like to watch GB News?

lafergar Sat 28-Jun-25 17:36:20

I researched by asking google what had been covered today?

Kind of mini research.

stick with Stayt and Munchetty or ITV if you prefer

No thanks.

Allira Sat 28-Jun-25 15:34:04

Obviously you've never worked as a researcher, lafergar 😁

I haven't researched GB News so I won't pass judgement.

Oreo Sat 28-Jun-25 15:27:24

A quick google is no good at all.You would have to watch different presenters at different times of day.I start my day with Patrick and Ellie usually.
But don’t worry about it,😁GB News isn’t a compulsory watch, stick with Stayt and Munchetty or ITV if you prefer.

www.gbnews.com/

The gist of it seems to be pro Trump, constant propaganda about immigrants, Farage and saying Starmer is an idiot.

So yes, I suppose it will be popular?

Like the BBC being pro-Labour then, they don’t show half of what’s going on.

Couldn't tell you. I don't engage with it.

I did manage a quick google of gb news which features Nigel grinning, something about travelers ruining an event and news of an immigrant who raped a girl.

There you go, all your bog standard right wing news.
