I was thinking last night that it doesn’t look good for the forum having threads like this; and they seem to be posted on a daily basis these days…

And it doesn't help that racism is being read into posts where it doesn't exist, too.

Someone asked the question a few days ago, should there even be Politics threads on GN. I was partly tempted to answer yes, based on all the unpleasantness, but maybe that's just my opinion.

Why is that being racist, that a local business man doesn’t want to house migrants.
Where do our friends & family stay when they come from Scotland, or from down south. (My neighbours daughters wedding venue has been cancelled at a minutes notice, to house migrants) if there are no hotels? It affects the local people surely. Nobody is being nasty. It’s just a fact.

Sarnia The story about the Skegness Hotel owner was on my local news at the time. Good for him for having morals. It doesn't matter what we call these people we don't need them taking resources from people who have paid taxes all their lives when then have contributed nothing. It is disgraceful our pensioners were cold last winter, our homeless people rely on wonderful charities and our schools and NHS are at breaking point. You only need to watch the news to see most crime is commited by these migrants, yet the politically correct do-gooders refuse to accept this.

My friends neighbour attacked at the side of the woods. Great for the guy who doesn’t want his hotel used for migrants, so why am I a know it all? Please do tell.

The government is planning g to move them into empty housing around the country. Starmer says there are plenty of empty houses so there might be some near you. This has already happened in Ireland.

Someone just said on Sky News that asylum seekers used to be put into social housing a long time ago but because there was a public outcry about it they were put into hotels.

That is what has made the British who we are today, if you think about it.

This is a trend I've noticed in recent years generally for men - not a nationality-based idea.

I was warned by women here when I moved to West Wales - and had woman after woman telling me that there was a noticeable contingent of men here that are looking for a woman who has "more" than them (starting with having a secure home - preferably one she owns) and then the man moves in. I've yet to hear of a woman here moving into a mans home. This is British men we are talking about and I've watched a fair number of men doing this by now. There was me thinking my "dating days" are behind me now - and yet there was a British man I'd just met during the week just gone starting to try and figure out what my circumstances are and he'd already figured it out I own a home and he doesnt (despite being in his late 60's) and I could feel he was starting to try and suss out my level of commonsense (or otherwise) and trying to "put a foot in the door" ingratiating himself.

It seems to be a recent male thing - nationality irrelevant - for men to look to a woman to help support them.

Milsa - that is entirely up to me if I feel this way. In a lot of pain. Fed up seeing horrible stuff on the tv. I am not telling anyone else to feel that way, just that I feel like this!

I do not know what the cut and paste comment is about because the post was my own words and I certainly haven't seen anything on You tube. Of course I cry when a child or adult is murdered. The loss of a life in any dreadful circumstances in an untimely manner is to be mourned. Any decent human being would.

ps: about the muslims taking over....well, I do not know about this. I hope the authorities do not sleep on that one but alongside their pc protocols, have actually real measures in place. I am not here to live with Sharia law.

Hmmm ... I wouldn't worry about that - it's not going to happen, but it does sound as though you might be happier in a regime such as that in your birth country.
