So what exactly is the problem?

If a single woman is lucky enough to have a council home, hopefully she will have a relationship with somebody she loves. There are predatory males out there - born in the UK and elsewhere. Women need to be brought up to look after themselves. I really don't see why the man's birthplace or ethnicity has anything to do with it.

How many of "these men" do you actually know Milsa?

ps: about the muslims taking over....well, I do not know about this. I hope the authorities do not sleep on that one but alongside their pc protocols, have actually real measures in place. I am not here to live with Sharia law.

Someone asked how these men make it here or where do they go. Some of them are kind and nice looking and perhaps not criminals. Someone on mumsnet was asking once: would you date a refugee etc...and she was very inclined to date him, marry him etc.

When I was aupair, a young Kurd of 23, with granted asylum status wanted to date me. He had a TESCO job, house and mercedes already. OK, I could not see myself with him but he was a regular kind boy, no problems, gentleman, never insisted on any sex or even tried.

Some other woman would marry him and they would be happy. So this is how the world goes. The criminals will be caught, the quiet ones who want just the life will get it, if stay here.

I am glad that my country is in the EU, we kept the family homes of which luckily we somehow gathered 5 with my brother over the years and if needed, I will take my English husband and child back there.

According to the 2021 census, some 59% of the London population was UK born. So I'm not sure where the 49% figure came from.

Non UK born doesn't necessarily mean that the people in this category are not British. Figures I found on another site showed that at least a third of the 'non UK' births were of British people. Which makes more Londoners British than non British.

London attracts people from all over the world.

According to the ONS the top countries supplying non UK born citizens are:

Poland
Romania
India
Italy
Ireland
Portugal
Spain
Lithuania
Pakistan
France

These are figures for England and Wales but no doubt London reflects them.

I'm not sure quite why the figures for London seem important, I can only surmise that this is to add fire to the feeling that British culture is being overwhelmed

As non UK born people comprise only about 16% of the England and Wales population (ONS Census figures) I can't see much overwhelming being imminent.

There should never be hate, but it’s understandable that people see their towns and cities changing in huge ways and are concerned.
In London, something like 49% of people are foreign born.
Think about that.
Other cities like Birmingham may not be far behind.

I did read the post, and saw that she ‘feared’ that ‘their laws’ would be implemented, not that they were already , and that Ramadan was now advertised in supermarkets, presumably for the Muslims who live in that area. I don’t see that as Muslim ways creeping in, so, sorry, I still haven’t seen any concrete examples of Muslim ways being implemented.

If it was a problem that was easy to solve it would have been solved by now. Those who think Farage has got a magic solution to it are being conned. I spoke to someone that worked with him at one time. All he’s interested in is the power he seems to hold over so many people, with his simplistic solutions to complex problems. He said leaving the EU would solve the problem; so much for that. Why do people think his latest solution ( whatever that is) is going to work.

I think the politicians of this (and previous) governments are quite adept at stirring up political unrest enough without any added interventions. If they got the problem sorted there wouldn't be an issue.
