I’ve continued the thread but sort of opened it up a bit, as Israel has also been trying to de-stable the new Syrian government by interfering in the fracas between the various religious factions in Syria.

Israel does not want a successful government in Syria for obvious reasons. I think this story might also have legs.

Did anyone manage to see the footage of the big demonstration in Tel Aviv? I was out and could only glimpse.

How many were there*Annie*, a handful I seem to remember and what does that have to do with the lies coming from the Israeli PR machine?

They were involved , you choose to excuse I do not, I didn’t
read of it through social media or newspapers, UN admitted it
and said the aid workers had been dismissed.

Maremia Sat 26-Jul-25 12:12:53

Do you think Galaxy, that it is the UN operatives who are holding up the aid, and not the IDF?
This is what the Israeli PR is attempting to present.
Do you trust the IDF?

Galaxy Sat 26-Jul-25 12:06:54

I don't trust the UN for one second. We are now in a terrible position where many don't trust organisations that were once seen as trustworthy.

And now their PR machine is trying to say that it is the UN workers who are causing the log jam.

There were some UN workers involved in the 7th October 2023 attack on Israel

Yes Anniebach and many were killed by bombs in Britain too. How many Israeli children have been killed in the last year?

Yes, war means deaths .

Maremia Sat 26-Jul-25 10:57:10

Now that 220 politicians are pressuring Starmer to recognise a Palestinian state, I wonder if the Conservative Friends of Israel and the Labour Friends of Israel would consider putting pressure on Netanyahu to properly facilitate the aid deliveries?

So, Israel knows how to get humanitarian aid and medical supplies in Syria, but not into Gaza?

I don't think equating what happened in WW2 is relevant as Germany were bombing us to smithereens too. We didn't starve small children either.
This occupation of Gaza is completely one sided.

No children were killed by bombs in Germany WW2 ?

Christians in Israel Around 120,000
Christians in Gaza Around 1,000

Oreo Sat 26-Jul-25 10:11:32

I doubt anyone at all thinks all Gazans are hamas, where did that idea come from?

Allira Sat 26-Jul-25 10:09:35

The children in Palestine aren't Hamas. Nor are many others. The Christians there are unlikely to be Hamas. The British doctors and many aid workers who are all starving too aren't Hamas.
It's wrong to believe everyone in Palestine is Hamas.

The small children and many people in Germany weren't Nazis, either, just to illustrate the point I was making.

It's time this was stopped.

Weird how Israel managed to get 'aid' to the Druze in Syria, a foreign country, but don't seem able to get aid into Gaza.

Because the Druze are their allies and Hamas is their enemy?

Maremia Sat 26-Jul-25 09:47:24

The Times of Israel says it was humanitarian aid and medical equipment.

Oreo Sat 26-Jul-25 09:45:06

Yes Allira they’re a bit of a mix but from reading it seems more Muslim than anything else. They say they have taken the best from three religions.

Oreo Sat 26-Jul-25 09:43:13

It will be more in the way of weapons I expect.

In case anyone thinks the Druze are Jewish, they aren’t.They are Muslims but Israel supports them, a good number of them live in Israel.
The Middle East is extremely complicated.

The Druze religion originated from Islam and the Abrahamic faiths but they are not exactly Muslim. They are very secretive.

That's probably why they annoy other Muslim sects.
Religions? The cause of so many conflicts.

Huge demonstration against the war in Tel Aviv.

Maremia Fri 25-Jul-25 22:02:32

At last, Israel is allowing air drops of food into Gaza!!!!!!!
