An airport should denote the name of the place where it is situated. It's pandering to popular culture and just ridiculous.

Well we already have Ozzy the bull, Ozzy the tram and the Black Sabbath bench here. I think that's enough. Much as I liked Ozzy, he wasn't in the same league as Lennon or Best.

Osborne Airport has a nice ring to it, they should go for it.

Although I realise that Ozzy was a well loved musician and TV personality I presonally don't think he can be compared to John Lennon or even George Best ( who was not a model of decorum despite being a gifted footballer).

I am beginning to get tired of the constant media bombardment around this man. In his own words, he isn't 'coming back' so can't we just let him rest in peace?

Considering ‘Paranoid’ is the only song 85% of the population know of his, it’s not a great name for an airport.
They could use his initials like ‘JFK’ I suppose - but ‘OO’ airport doesn’t have quite the same ring to it.
Wonder what his middle name is?
