News reporter assaulted by Counter protester last night

Saw this live last night and we thought these rent a mob counter protesters were disgraceful.

The News reporter (Sophie Reaper) for GB News spoke to the Anti Migrant protestors and then tried politely to speak to the counter protesters. They shoved their purpose made placards in her face, tried to obscure the cameras with their placards and refused to speak to her. They refused to say where they came from unlike the locals on the other side.

Then one of them hit her on the head with their Refugees Welcome board. A security man had to guide her away as they were shouting abuse.

They made themselves look aggressive and stupid and I hope they will conduct themselves better in future.

Shocking behaviour from them I must say!

Unfortunately I am not surprised

Peace loving advocates are often violent in their methods.

I watched it live and was deeply shocked.
The protesters refused to speak to the Reporter, unlike the anti- migrant protesters on the other side of the road who spoke freely to camera and gave their names and reasons. The 'Stand up to Racism 'protesters, predominately male, "swarmed" her and tried to cover the camera and her face with a large Palestinian (?) flag, also pushing placards between her face and the camera; she was then struck on the head, possibly inadvertently, by a placard and escorted to safety by her bodyguard.

This is not peaceful protesting.

Disgusting and no I am not surprised. He is clearly shown so will be easy to find him. Hopefully the police will charge him with assault. We will wait and see.

Peace loving advocates are often violent in their methods.

And rhetoric, on social media too.
It's ironic.

She is out and about reporting from Liverpool today, apparently unfazed by her experience.

Oh that’s alright then! Not very nice going about your job and being assaulted.
