Hamas, they were voted for and there can be no denying the large crowds of Palestinians mocking the released hostages , mocking the coffins of the little Bibas children , what seems to be forgotten is the “wiping all Jews from the planet “

Well Israel is also responsible for vicious attacks on Palestinians and continues to carry them out, so much so that Israelis are protesting about the continuation of the war but their elected government is choosing to ignore them.

There can be no proposals for peace that do not include input from Hamas.

About half the population of Gaza wasn't even born when the last election took place. There will be people now in their late 30s who have never had a chance to vote.

For a democracy to have any meaning, there need to be regular elections.

This is the difference between Gaza and Israel.
Israel is a democracy; its people are unhappy at the direction the government is taking and are able to mount legitimate protests, and may remove Netanyahu.

Gaza is not a democracy; its people, whether they support the government or not are unable to mount protests without fear of massive retribution. Their leaders at present are unassailable.

They are not primarily reacting to the footage if the hostage, that will have come as no surprise.

They are reacting to Netanyahus conduct of the war and the knowledge that if he goes ahead as threatened the hostages will die.

There must be much fear for the hostages and full knowledge of what Hamas will do to them, Hamas certainly played the ace card with their photographs of the two male prisoners .

Massive demonstrations in Israel took place and are taking place, by the hostages families and supporters.

Not quite sure how Netanyahu will deal with them, as they are almost certainly set to grow. He can hardly send in the troops are police!!
