Martin Lewis Detained Immediately After Live ITV Broadcast

He Exposed a Secret Income Scheme the British Government and Elites Have Been Hiding from Ordinary Citizens for Years

What if we told you that the UK government, leading banks, and billionaire elites have been secretly hiding access to a passive income programme that could provide financial freedom to every British citizen?
During the filming of This Morning on ITV, Martin Lewis broke his silence and, for the first time, publicly revealed the existence of a legal, government-backed platform capable of transforming the financial reality of millions. As it turns out, those in power have known about this system for years — and have done everything in their power to keep it hidden from the public. The original broadcast was heavily censored under pressure from above.
But despite efforts to suppress it, a portion of the uncut interview has leaked online. And now, you are one of the very few who has access to the truth.

During the interview, Martin Lewis appeared visibly tense and hesitant. As it later became clear, he fully understood the risks — but chose to speak the truth anyway, for the sake of those watching at home.

Wyllow this is fake news which you *should not be spreading*

She isn’t spreading it. If you’d read the thread you’d know that.

Martin Lewis is not the only financial expert deep faked this way. I read last weekend of people who lost tens of thousands of £s investing in a fund purported to be run and promoted by this expert, whose name eludes me.

He was absolutely horrified to find out what people had been led into, because they knew of him and his expertise and thought this deep fake was him.

There was a story in the Mail last week featuring a man who thought he was on a legitimate cryptocurrency site endorsed by Martin Lewis but it was of course a scam.
He lost £120,000.

Martin Lewis’s image has been used on numerous occasions and he has warned people repeatedly on his tv shows.

These despicable scammers work on people’s greed.

Hi folks

We'd already removed the links from the post - but we're still getting reports about it.

We think it's better the post stays up. It has more chance of warning others who may well see similar articles.

As there's no clickable links, we can't see the harm? Unless we're missing something. Let us know.

Also if you make a report, please do remember to check your inbox for our reply.

They will be sat in a shed somewhere, wearing headphones 😩

Absolutely not. They are imprisoned in these small towns built for just this purpose.

The Martin Lewis one has been around for a while now.
When I think how quickly FB or even GN take down or ban people for posts, you wonder why they don’t do something about things like this.

Kate1949 Tue 19-Aug-25 17:44:14

Martin Lewis issued proceedings against Facebook as there were over 1000 scam ads popping up with his face supposedly endorsing things. Facebook agreed to pay £3m to a charity of Martin's choice if it didn't go to court. Seems nothing has really changed. He has said time and time again that he doesn't put his name to anything but people are still falling for them.

There was a man on the news this week who had lost £75000 having been scammed by people purporting to be Martin Lewis and Elon Musk.

Yes, M61, check out the website I gave, you can't get into "weather" "sounds" etc. It's so well done, but there is that dangerous bar at the bottom to press to get drawn into the scam. Phew, thank you JaxJacky. I don't feel a fool, I feel rather enraged!

Yes I clicked on it thanks.
He’s fed up with people using his name & good reputation to scam folk.

Oreo Tue 19-Aug-25 17:24:16

Just the way it reads I can tell it’s a fake.

Primrose53 Tue 19-Aug-25 17:17:20

There are so many of these about. There’s one featuring Deborah Meaden from Dragon’s Den and one from the blonde, Sarah from DD both saying they endorse slimming pills. Total rubbish.

There are a couple of others involving supposedly NHS staff who have supposedly lost stones in weight. One shows 3 “Drs” and the other some “nurses”. Again, absolute rubbish!

Nightsky2 Tue 19-Aug-25 17:04:55

They’re everywhere. You really don’t know what to believe anymore. We need to be vigilant and double check anything that looks just too good to be true.

Seems a pretty spiteful thing to do to Martin Lewis, of all people? Who's behind the scam if it is one?

Probably the same charlatans and conmen who illegally used his name to front their financial scams. The real Martin Lewis denounced the fakes and warned his followers not to be taken in.

escaped Tue 19-Aug-25 15:20:07

If you follow Martin Lewis, (I do), he said
about 10 days ago that he was going on holiday for a few weeks and would neither be seen nor heard on any media.
So maybe the scammers though it was an opportune time to get him out there?

Lovetopaint037 Tue 19-Aug-25 15:19:54

Came across something like this on Facebook which is full of rubbish these days.

silverlining48 Tue 19-Aug-25 15:11:02

Wyllow usually checks things very carefully

silverlining48 Tue 19-Aug-25 15:10:01

We should all do that, but it means we end up not believing anything that is reported. As well as not everyone is tech savvy and I am one of them.

In the times we are living in your immediate reaction should have been to check out the story.

petra Tue 19-Aug-25 14:58:49

Not only false but over a year old.

silverlining48 Tue 19-Aug-25 14:53:14

This is how misinformation can so easily be put online, and believed by many. Then tragically sometimes acted upon. We live in strange times.

GrannyGravy13 Tue 19-Aug-25 14:48:35

We were only talking about scams in the gym yesterday morning, I told them I would probably end up in court one day as I ignore everything that comes through my email account regarding parking fines, overdue tax, bank account etc.

My defence will be the amount of scams around and the difficulty of telling the truth from the fake…

loopylindy Tue 19-Aug-25 14:42:32

What a sick, crazy f....up world we live in. I'm getting so distrustful of most that I read on here, especially the side bar stuff. I whizz straight past and don't allow it head space. Deep fakery and clever editing means nothing and no-one is safe. Don't trust ant media!
