Yes, M61, check out the website I gave, you can't get into "weather" "sounds" etc. It's so well done, but there is that dangerous bar at the bottom to press to get drawn into the scam. Phew, thank you JaxJacky. I don't feel a fool, I feel rather enraged!

The scammers are very professional in what they do. Never take your eye off the ball.

Seems a pretty spiteful thing to do to Martin Lewis, of all people? Who's behind the scam if it is one?

They choose him because people trust him with his good advice.

Martin Lewis never endorses anything. However, that doesn't stop the low-life scammers in our society from mis-representing him. Many people put their faith in someone like Martin Lewis because his programmes alert the general public to injustices in all walks of life. Don't fall for it. I am not tech savvy but isn't there some way that bugs could be introduced to scammers websites. M&S are still picking up the pieces from their cyber attack. Can't those in the know turn the tables?

They use genuine footage of trusted people and deepfake it to show them saying and doing something completely different, to con viewers into thinking they recommend what the scammers are promoting, or have opinions to back up the scammers posts.

It is said that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but the effect on the reputations of the people they copy is the opposite of flattery.

Definitely a scam, there is an identical one with David Attenborough and another couple with two of the dragons from Dragons Den.

From the Guardian, Wed 5 March 2025. (and this is the not the first scam using faked footage of Martin Lewis to advertise money-making schemes to be published)

" Deepfake videos and fictional news reports featuring the money expert Martin Lewis, the radio DJ Zoe Ball and the adventurer Ben Fogle were used to promote fraudulent cryptocurrency and other investment schemes. The scammers are understood to have still been contacting victims in recent weeks. "

Georgia-based group used deepfake videos and false news featuring Martin Lewis, Zoe Ball and Ben Fogle to promote fraudulent crypto schemes

"An organised network operating from the former Soviet state of Georgia has scammed thousands of savers from the UK, Europe and Canada out of $35m (Β£27m) after they fell for fake celebrity adverts on Facebook and Google that the government promised to outlaw three years ago."

"Deepfake videos and fictional news reports featuring the money expert Martin Lewis, the radio DJ Zoe Ball and the adventurer Ben Fogle were used to promote fraudulent cryptocurrency and other investment schemes. The scammers are understood to have still been contacting victims in recent weeks."

"UK citizens were the hardest hit, accounting for a third – about Β£9m – of the money taken."

"The fraud was exposed by a huge leak of scam call centre data to the Swedish public broadcaster SVT, which then shared the files with the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP), the Guardian and other international reporting partners."

"The UK government has introduced a new set of laws aimed at protecting children and adults online. However, while the online safety act has been passed into law and scam posts could soon prompt fines, the sections relating to fraudulent advertising by organisations are not expected to become active until next year."

"Cases of authorised push payment (APP) fraud – when a victim is tricked into sending money directly from their account – rose by 12% to more than 230,000 in 2023, according to the most recent figures from the trade body UK Finance, although the total money lost dipped."

Martin Lewis Detained Immediately After Live ITV Broadcast

He Exposed a Secret Income Scheme the British Government and Elites Have Been Hiding from Ordinary Citizens for Years

What if we told you that the UK government, leading banks, and billionaire elites have been secretly hiding access to a passive income programme that could provide financial freedom to every British citizen?
During the filming of This Morning on ITV, Martin Lewis broke his silence and, for the first time, publicly revealed the existence of a legal, government-backed platform capable of transforming the financial reality of millions. As it turns out, those in power have known about this system for years β€” and have done everything in their power to keep it hidden from the public. The original broadcast was heavily censored under pressure from above.
But despite efforts to suppress it, a portion of the uncut interview has leaked online. And now, you are one of the very few who has access to the truth.

During the interview, Martin Lewis appeared visibly tense and hesitant. As it later became clear, he fully understood the risks β€” but chose to speak the truth anyway, for the sake of those watching at home.
