Due to her friendship with Epstein.
The domino effect begins.

I quite liked her, she seemed to be a 'jolly hockey sticks' kind of girl and I thought she'd be good for Andrew.

Instead, they seem to have brought out the worst in each other.

Anniebach, we often disagree but I’ve always felt more unites than divides us. I share your concern for the King.

Same with me Iam , I truly am concerned for The King, cancer, concern for Catherine with cancer, distance with Harry, Andrew with Epstein and now Sarah who has more comebacks than any other in the family and is addicted to tv interviews.

Never liked her, never thought she was 'a breath of fresh air'. Don't understand why she's still hanging around the RF tbh

How was she going to maintain the lifestyle she’d become used to 🤷‍♀️ I have some ideas 😂

What will she do to try to recover from this, another autobiography, interviews with newspaper and tv, she does much tv interviews in America. And she needs to make money. Unless more is to come out, poor King Charles

HowVeryDareYou2 Wed 24-Sept-25 19:14:23

What odious creatures she and Andrew are. I think there will soon be more people being named in the Epstein scandal

Skye17 you say you’d be surprised if JE was guilty of any of the 2005 charges as he was not brought to court for them.
I’ll just leave one name here, that represents so many sex offenders who don’t face a criminal trial
Jimmy Saville

No, I said I’d be surprised if he didn’t commit them.

I doubt there would be 40 separate allegations of sexual abuse with no substance behind them.

Princess of Wales being criticised as a stick insect is acceptable but not Sarah as Duchess of pork

Anniebach Wed 24-Sept-25 11:34:32

A warm loving person ? she was recorded selling introduction to Andrew £500,000
She lay in the sun having her toes kissed/sucked by a lover whilst her small children watched

grannygranby Wed 24-Sept-25 10:50:18

I agree with you valdavi. Ihave a soft spot for her because long before it was fashionable she became patron of the MND association. My young husband had it and she brought publicity to the condition which was otherwise totally ignored for the next twenty years. I believe she is a warm lovable persons who makes errors living in a goldfish bowl. But she’s brave resourceful, hard working a good mother and sometimes silly and careless over money and stuff. And she’s not well and putting very brave face on it. She doesn’t deserve more punishment she has already had so much. Do you remember after giving birth she was ‘duchess of Porkie’ . So princesses now have to be stick insects.

I agree the press enjoyed humiliating Ferguson, that wasn’t confined to her, it’s any woman, including Diana

No one made her behave so badly though, she achieved that single handed. I remember my mum being horrified when she was photographed having her toes sucked by her current boyfriend, with her two infant daughters present

FranP I agree about the unflattering photos. The paparazzi just hold down the shutter and review what they've got to find the shot that they can sell for the biggest fee. I'm sure they rub their hands with glee when they find one that puts the celeb in a controversial position e.g. laughing inappropriately at a funeral... and the media love those, the more embarrassing the better.

However, a lot of those same famous faces will now be wondering when photos or emails will appear to connect them with Epstein and calling him their steadfast friend after he was convicted of procuring a child for prostitution.

FranP Tue 23-Sept-25 21:44:30

Right from the very start, every possible negative photo was syndicated by the press. I am sure that Diana showed a bit of leg getting out of a car every now and then, had the wind catch her clothes, but we never saw these, but we did of Sarah. Every time she put on a lb or 2, and her dress was a little tight, there was the press comment. She did not get any of the support that Diana did. The pattern repeated with Megan (not that I like HER one bit, but we do seem to love the heir and denigrate the spare).
She was part of a social set that included him - what he did was not her fault, was not in her ken.

These people are members of a mutual admiration society, minor royalty, mega rich and actors/influencers. They want to be seen with each other. It makes them feel important. Only when one of them is shown to have size twelve feet of clay does panic set in...

Allira Tue 23-Sept-25 20:22:32

The Queen Mother was rather profligate too but on a much smaller scale.
She wasn't greedy.

NanKate Tue 23-Sept-25 20:00:21

Question 1 What did she spend all her money on to get into such debt ?

Question 2 How will she and Andrew pay for their reduced lifestyle now ?

Statement The late Queen paid off her mother’s debts. 😳

Iam64 Tue 23-Sept-25 19:33:45

What a mess, another one full of people who didn’t seem able to accept normal social norms and criminal behaviour applied to them as well as lower beings

eazybee Tue 23-Sept-25 18:33:14

I wonder if there will be a statement from the Publishers of 'Budgie' stating that they did not advise Sarah Ferguson to write a letter of apology to Epstein?

Anniebach Tue 23-Sept-25 18:29:05

6 years between Epstein and Sarah

Makes sense; who would want someone considered a convicted paedophile was a friend to be involved with a children's charity or any charity.

Epstein gave her money "to settle a debt".

Epstein paid Virginia Guiffre $500,000 to settle her hash.

Virginia Guiffre was a victim of Epstein, Maxwell and others.

Are you saying the Duchess of York was a victim too, but on lesser scale?

I don't understand what your meaning is.

I don't think he was a convicted paedophile when she addressed him as friend, & I'm pretty sure he didn't go round saying to social acquaintances "you know, I'm likely to go down to posterity as a convicted paedophile, so if you want to distance yourself from me, go ahead..."
Not a Fergie fan, but it makes me exceedingly cross.
Judge people by what they say, what they do, and even, with reservations. by the company they currently keep - but not who was on their friends list decades ago.
It's different for the men, because there's always the possibility they participated in the abuse.

According to the news, she wrote her apologising email to him after his downfall was all made public assuring him he would always be her lifelong friend or something similar.
