Due to her friendship with Epstein.
The domino effect begins.

If just a fraction of what is written in "Entitled" is true, Eugenie and Beatrice are not so white as white. Gifts of expensive jewellery, parties and even weddings paid for via Middle East connections. But look at their role models.

A lot of things that have happened in the past decade or so (including the current Mandelson scandal) start to make a lot more sense when you read the book. A lot of dots begin to join up and they don't paint a pretty picture for any of the Yorks.

Yes, Beatrice and Eugenie benefitted quite a bit from Mummy and Daddy’s dubious associates, according to ‘Entitled’.

Just another nasty, grabbing, entitled wannabe. So suited to her ex.

Epstein and Ghislaine were invited to Beatrice's 18th Birthday Party.

I’m glad the late Queen isn’t around to witness all this.

Yet another headache for King Charles.

She's a total embarrassment to the Royal Family. Always got her hand held out for money and no scruples where she gets it from.

Yes Freudian slip ferry blush

Makes sense; who would want someone considered a convicted paedophile was a friend to be involved with a children's charity or any charity.

I don't think he was a convicted paedophile when she addressed him as friend, & I'm pretty sure he didn't go round saying to social acquaintances "you know, I'm likely to go down to posterity as a convicted paedophile, so if you want to distance yourself from me, go ahead..."
Not a Fergie fan, but it makes me exceedingly cross.
Judge people by what they say, what they do, and even, with reservations. by the company they currently keep - but not who was on their friends list decades ago.
It's different for the men, because there's always the possibility they participated in the abuse.

Epstein was convicted in 2008 of soliciting girls as young as 14. Duchess of York's contact with him that is being discussed was in 2011 (after she had very publicly supposedly distanced herself from him).
It's ridiculous to say that only men participate in abuse, Maxwell was also sentenced.

Wikipedia on the Duchess of York outlines her overspending ( £ 42 million in the 1990s) and disastrous financial decisions. She and Prince Andrew seem to wheel and deal with dodgy people. I doubt the public will have any sympathy for either of them now.

Maybe though they’re just ‘oversharers’?
I am a bit.
Fortunately in my case, I don’t run to the media only because I know no-one would be remotely interested

Oversharing ? , as does Burrell ? yuck

Reading ‘Entitled’ , I was never comfortable with her desire for tv interviews and I really dislike her ‘what the Queen said to me before she died’, Harry jus5 had to tell the world what he said to the late Queen when he went to pay respect to her body,
total lack of respect

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Mon 22-Sept-25 19:54:23

Prince Philip apparently couldn’t stand her. Barred her from all family gatherings after she and Andrew divorced.

Laughing whilst at The Duchess of Kent's funeral didn't look great.

It certainly didn't.
She looked as if she was off on a jolly.

She really has not got a jot of common sense and has $$$£££ in her eyes.

....she does have a history with toes!

Lol

Freudian slip there Kate grin

eazybee Mon 22-Sept-25 19:39:33

She just seems to lurch from debt crisis to crisis, and never seems to be able to control her money.
Oh dear.

Ties not toes although.........

Kate1949 Mon 22-Sept-25 19:30:47

Wasn't Epstein first convicted in 2008? I thought Fergie's email was after that. She told him she only said she had cut off toes with him to protect her book deal.

A 6th charity has now removed her.

I do feel sorry for Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie. Not just one - but both parents now. How tawdry.

Reckon they'll be just fine and dandy.

No interest. No sympathy.

vintage1950 Mon 22-Sept-25 18:55:35

She has had cancer, twice, I think. Is rather prone to errors of judgement!

Usedtobeblonde Mon 22-Sept-25 18:51:35

I read a headline today that the family are “ worried by fragile Fergie”
She didn’t look particularly fragile in photos taken in the last couple of days partying with Tom Parker Bowles , the Queen’s son.
She even seemed fine and smiling at the funeral last week.

Anniebach Mon 22-Sept-25 18:40:10

She may well bounce back , several tv interviews , more photographs with the late Queens dogs etc
