The unbearable speech was not for us or for the General Assembly, it was for his core back in the US. If he stays in power he stays out of prison.

There seems to be talk of group of progressive international leaders getting together to fight the far-right. It seems like the moment when the free world recognised that they had to oppose Hitler or their countries would be subsumed by a man who had always been their enemy. Canada and Mexico havd already got the measure of the man they and I am sure will be glad to have some allies.

He did say that he is solely responsible for ending a whole lot of wars/conflicts and so should get the Noble Peace Prize.

Trump is without doubt the worst president the US has ever had and that's pretty amazing as they have had some very shady characters. He makes Nixon look like an altar boy. He spouts vileness, cares only about himself and has the vocabulary of the average 8 year old however, he is as cunning as a fox. It foxes me why this horrible human is adored by anyone but we have lessons from history that he is not unique in attracting adoration when pretty much everything he says should make everyone revile him. History will judge him and those who support him just as history has judged others like him.
