It's somehow a relief to think that they're in a worse mess than us.
Sorry, France, you know I love you really! πŸ‡¨πŸ‡΅

Jordan Bardella? I think he has been something of a disappointment to his party. Marine le Pen was found guilty of embezzling EU funds and is banned from standing.
Very unlikely Macron will resign, he will continue to run foreign policy and domestic policy will remain in stasis.

Maremia

Was Marine involved in a scandal recently, and it's a young man who will now lead her party?

I'd need to check, but I think there's an appeal going through.

Fresh lettuce clearly doesn’t last as long in France- and perhaps this is why they do like to shop daily.
Maybe also for Prime Ministers? πŸ€£πŸ‡«πŸ‡·

I find the battavia ones from the market last longest. The frilly leaves somehow keep the moisture in a bit longer. I was considering bringing one home for tonight's salad, but I've got a dozen grappe tomatoes instead in my boot.

That’s another fine mess you got me into, Emmanuel!

What with this and the UK political nightmare you wonder what is happening to the West. All as bad as each other.

Apparently Macron has three options; to appoint a new PM, to dissolve the National assembly or to resign.

Sounds like another fine mess.

It's unlikely Macron would call a Presidential Election. He'll carry on to the end.

Oh please no general election, not just yet - it might bring in Marine Le Pen!

Sorry, patchy details here, but I'm sailing away from France picking up information that LeCornu, the French Prime Minister who Macron appointed, has gone after only 27 days.
That's 22 days LESS than Liz Truss lasted, I believe.
A lot of shrugging of shoulders going on here among the French crew.
Maybe there should be a general election, because this is an alarming rate of getting through PMs.
