He reckons it's the worst photo of him ever.

Maybe Mister Vanity needs to finally try to accept that he's nearly eighty and he's the oldest person ever to be sworn in as President.

It comes to us all, but he'll doubtless visit vengeance on the poor photographer........

It doesn’t really look like him so am all in favour.

You're so vain
You probably think this thread is about you 🎶

Luckygirl3 Wed 15-Oct-25 14:41:03

You can see right up his nose .... oh.koy, oh rapture......
Silly man.

It could have been worse.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Pensive, intelligent, statesmanlike.
Everything he is not. He should be very pleased with the photograph.

Allira Wed 15-Oct-25 14:32:33

Apart from the up-the-nostril angle, he looks better than usual.

More serious and statesmanlike than petulant.

There are hidden messages here. His ear has no scar from the shooting, the hair is very thin and despite all his attempts to hide it, he is bald like lots of other men.

However, there is some attempt at subtle admiration here- the camera angle, the heroic gaze etc.

Trump doesn't like it because it reveals nuanced perceptions of his achievements paired with his weakness and vanity.

Interesting that the rather flowery language used on the front page is echoed by an encomium written by a former Israeli PM who was a close friend of Epsteins.

Much more going on here than meets the eye...

Yes, my first thought was where is the damage to his ear? He was happy enough for his ear to be given such prominence after the shooting ( let’s not forget the weird spectacle of his followers attending rallies wearing plasters on their ears).

Not a good angle, looking right up someone's nostrils. What was the photographer thinking?

Otherwise it's interesting, I thought it would be far worse than that from the comments.

Petra love it gringringrin

I don’t understand why he is so vain, he has never been a good looking man. I can understand Brad Pitt being upset about a bad photo showing the loss of his good looks but not Trump.

LemonJam Wed 15-Oct-25 13:26:09

I think it's a technically good and accomplished photo. Possibly the photographer was aiming to capture Trump's stubbornness, determination, and power- e.g. others looking up to him... The disappearing small bit of his hair possibly to look like some kind of halo?

The angle of the photo though highlights his age, weight, and loose skin on his neck- but it is true to life. The trouble is Trump doesn't see himself how he actually is so any photo that captures his actual image, without filter, he no will not like.

He likes to be on the cover of TIME though for all the world to see- so he shows his narcism and thin skin by calling it "super bad" highlighting image is more important to him than substance.

At a quick glance it could be Joe Biden! grin

RosesandLilac Wed 15-Oct-25 13:03:13

I suspect he thinks he looks like Tom Hanks in Top Gun or George Cooney not the orange blimp in reality I love the Trump baby balloon, perfect likeness!

Maremia Wed 15-Oct-25 10:55:34

Snowflake

His collar looks too tight. Apart from that, quite flattering.
Not so orange and no silly yellow topknot.

NotSpaghetti Wed 15-Oct-25 10:38:53

I think it's a great photo actually.
Surprisingly thoughtful attitude too.

He looks strong and bold - yet quite warm.

Taking photos from a lower angle like this makes him more imposing and important.

What a fuss about nothing!

This is the cover BTW.

eazybee Wed 15-Oct-25 10:04:32

Granny Gravy agree. Would put a thumbs up if I could find one!

Casdon Wed 15-Oct-25 09:24:53

He just looks what he is, a man of nearly eighty. Fake tan and hair dye can’t disguise that for him, as they can’t for any of us.

GrannyGravy13 Wed 15-Oct-25 09:14:24

I couldn’t care less what he looks like, it’s an irrelevance.

If he manages to achieve peace in Middle East and Ukraine through his bully boy tactics I will be grateful.

MayBee70 Wed 15-Oct-25 09:07:56

Looks quite Churchillian in it. What a narcissist he is.

TheWeirdoAgain60 Wed 15-Oct-25 09:05:26

I've just Googled the photo.

He's a hideous-looking creep anyway, so the photo didn't make him look any worse than what he already is!

Aldom Wed 15-Oct-25 08:56:54

I've looked up the photo of President Trump. I think the photographer has given a great deal of thought to their choice of picture. The upward gaze of president Trump and the caption
His Triumph are a perfect combination. President Trump should be thanking the person who so thoughtfuly put together the front page of Time Magazine.

escaped Wed 15-Oct-25 08:43:44

I don't think it's too bad.
It's his hair he doesn't approve of, isn't it, not his wrinkles?
