I honestly don't know Casdon
I just think it's sad that another good person is out of the "running".

I think some of them may contribute in some way... but won't hold my breath.

I’m really not sure how a suitable chair, acceptable to all parties, can be found. It’s a particularly challenging role, and needs somebody with relevant experience, and knowledge of the issues, but who is acceptable to all parties - who could do that?

petra I might.
I would like to think I'd try to see people as individuals and judge them on their record.

He'd resigned (in a public way)over the shortcomings of the police and over the lies and corruption. I don't think it would take any digging to see what sort of person he is.

This is such a blow in my opinion.
I have heard this man speak, seen what he's done, witnessed his dedication and commitment to trying to get things right for young people.
I think it's really really sad he feels he needs to step aside.

I have always thought him to be a truly honourable man.

If you had been let down, ignored, verbally abused by police would you trust one that that is heading an enquiry?
No, you’d be thinking he’s judging me just like all the others
If you were this woman, would you?

He pulled out for reasons not to do with his career GrannyGravy13

It's a good and interesting interview in the link if you have a few minutes.

Anything to do with the Asian grooming gangs is a poisoned chalice for one’s career it seems
