Breaking news is that Andrew will now be Andrew Mountbatten - Windsor, his title is no longer, and he will move out of Royal Lodge.

I wouldn’t mind being banished to Sandringham. Nice house in beautiful place.

I haven’t read all that much about Andrew’s doings, but it all a seems a bit over the top to me. He hasn’t been accused of murder, and he hasn’t been convicted of anything so far, has he?

Good grief! How can you have missed all the shenanigans across so many years!

No real job, scandals around business, his friendship choices, hosting and keeping in touch with convicted sex offenders. Any other British man would be in court and would have been charged with a number of offences. Dig a bit, you won’t have to far to look!

He won’t be housed in Sandringham itself, I would imagine he’ll go into one of the “cottages” on the estate.

nanna8 Fri 31-Oct-25 08:11:39

You know what ? I don’t care about his mental health. After what he has done.

GrannyGravy13 Fri 31-Oct-25 08:10:07

It’s time to either charge Andrew and let him have his day in court or just leave him alone.

He will be living in a cottage on the Sandringham Estate, he has been stripped of all he has known during his life.

None of us know his mental health, I hope he doesn’t do anything stupid like taking his own life.

I don’t understand why the other celebrities and politicians involved with Virginia Giuffre have not been pursued and outed in the same way as Mr Mountbatten Windsor.
I don’t understand why the family of Virginia Giuffre is not in pursuit of the unnamed prime minister. Presumably he is known to someone?
Some news outlets are reporting that the Giuffre family want Andrew in jail. Will it ever stop?

Will it ever stop?
It will eventually die down, only to be regurgitated on a slack news day.

There’s no money in pursuing other celebrities and politicians.

nanna8 Fri 31-Oct-25 08:07:38

One thing’s for sure - he’ll never go to jail. I am in two minds about these ‘suicides’, especially Epstein. Just a tad too convenient.

Grandmabatty Fri 31-Oct-25 08:05:27

Ronib, I expect it's because they are mainly American and that would require American justice. As Trump himself has been implicated, I doubt anything would happen soon

No fan of Andrew, I think he deserves everything he’s got. However, I don’t think the media will be satisfied unless he takes his own life like the other two did, if they actually did)!
The best thing now is for everyone to ignore him and just let him slip into obscurity and for the media to move on to other far more important news.

Grandmabatty Fri 31-Oct-25 07:23:29

I agree Curlywhirly. I also think that KC had to deal with him as Andrew continued to bring the Royal Family into disrepute. His message was unequivocal.

Curlywhirly Fri 31-Oct-25 07:19:56

According to a TV programme last week, Sarah already has a house in London (I think it said bought a couple of years ago for over 2 million) that she rents out. She could live there. And as she's no longer a Royal and an ex-wife anyway, I don't see why Charles should feel obligated to give her an allowance.
I do wonder if this latest rather bold move to ostracise Andrew completely is because they know/fear there are more unsavoury personal/financial revelations in the offing?

Maremia Fri 31-Oct-25 07:09:50

Hope the other Epstein Friends get the same karma now.

I think the queen was well aware of Andrew’s failings she was an astute woman
The royals have enough money to hide away and look after any dead wood

You’re quite right BlueBelle.

I think the late Queen (who supposedly never put a foot wrong) was at the forefront of hushing up Andrew’s rather dubious dealings, his business affairs and his ‘love’ life.

Allsorts Fri 31-Oct-25 06:55:58

Everyone knew what Andrew was like, so it couldn't have come as a great surprise. People tolerated him.
He had Sunningdale which he sold also in the process off selling the Swiss chalet in excess of 8 million and he went all over the place on freebies as did Sarah, her daughters will look after her no doubt. So money won’t be a problem. His challenge will be coping with being ostracised, doubt people would work for him and family and friends will disappear.

The King will be ‘keeping’ him for the rest of his life, housing him, paying his bills, giving him an allowance as the price for all this, and having to relinquish Royal Lodge.

In due course, assuming Andrew outlives his older brother, William will have to carry it on.

I assume part of the deal will be for Charles to give Sarah an allowance as well.

If Charles funds all this, his business entirely.

The late Queen must be turning in her grave.

So he's off to Norfolk with his big Brother privately funding him.

If he's off to Norfolk then maybe he could learn to manage a turkey farm? It worked for Bernard Matthews.

And it'll give him something useful to do, probably for the first time in his life.

RosesandLilac Fri 31-Oct-25 06:22:02

About damn time too, I bet Ferguson is furious that she doesn’t get Adelaide Cottage but has the find her own accommodation.
At least he’ll be far from the public eye, no more photos of the smirking pervert riding in Windsor Great Park or his car.
I imagine that few of his previous associates and founders will be keeping in touch so it’ll be interesting to see how he manages without.

Anniebach Fri 31-Oct-25 06:02:14

BlueBell always be the same for Charles, much criticism throughout his life poor man.

BlueBelle Fri 31-Oct-25 05:27:11

I m not a Royalist but seems as if Charles can’t do right whatever he does You were all wanting this to happen now it’s been done, it wasn’t quick enough. So he’s still wrong
Andrew should take what money he has, presumably he’s not without, and retire somewhere out of the limelight away from the Royal family
Just proves money doesn’t make a man and hasnt it always been so, many ‘out of order’ Royals over the years Has there ever been a generation of Royals where there hasn’t been scandals?

mum2three Fri 31-Oct-25 04:56:59

That is Prince Andrew dealt with. Will the government now do the decent thing and get the 'Grooming gangs' business sorted? You can't condemn one and not the other.

windmill1 Fri 31-Oct-25 04:07:39

I doubt he'll be applying for Universal Credit.

But the dam that has held back Karma for all his past arrogances has finally broken......

friendlygingercat Fri 31-Oct-25 01:18:27

Well one thing is sure. Despite his fall and reduced circumstances he wont have to worry about paying his fuel bills or the COL. He will still be looked after in the material sense,

CocoPops Fri 31-Oct-25 01:13:37

Well, let's hope all the publicity will die down now and Andrew will live quietly in Norfolk. I wonder if he will take up residence at Sandringham House itself where the royals will be for Christmas. There are lots of houses on the estate. The bigger ones are Anmer House which has 10 bedrooms and belongs to The Prince and Princess of Wales I believe and also Wood Farm in Wolferton which has 5 bedrooms where Prince Philip spent his last years.

nanna8 Fri 31-Oct-25 01:05:16

I bet we don’t know the half of it. He is probably much, much worse than we think. A blow on behalf of those women abused by creeps and liars. As for his ex, she would have known exactly what he is like but chose to continue her association with him. Lie down with dogs, you get fleas.

denbylover Fri 31-Oct-25 00:00:29

So is Sarah off to Norfolk too?

Do you think he’ll have to push the vacuum around, clean the bathroom and change his sheets??

Good call by King Charles, although deep down somewhere I wonder if it’s painful for him, they’re brothers after all.

Silly man, he had it all yet enough was never enough.
