I bet Andrew wishes he’d taken up the original offer of Frogmore Cottage now.

I agree Doodledog.

I don't think they need to recover OldFrill, the working royals just need to keep on doing what they're doing.

That's what's got them into this mess.

His downfall is total. Even though I think he’s an entitled chump, I fear for his mental health with all this constant hounding by the media.

It must have been very difficult for the King, I think he has shown strength in doing the right thing. He and Andrew illustrate just how different siblings can be, Charles was a shy and diffident child, Andrew bumptious and full of himself from his earliest years and seemingly a trait that was never reined in. The speculation had been when he finally exited the Royal Lodge he would be moving into Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor estate, but they obviously want him further away in Norfolk, even if they are all gathered there for Christmas. Wonder where Sarah is going to live now? The body language of the royals towards Andrew when they were gathered for the late Duchess of Kent's funeral certainly spoke volumes.

Pity Shakespeare isn’t around to record all this.

I dread to think what the late Queen would have made of all of this. I do feel sorry for Charles having to take these actions at his age with his health conditions. At the end of the day he is a human being but is doing what is right by everyone. Silly, silly Andrew thinking he could get away with it all and silly Sarah too. Well, they will have to find new hobbies to take up away from the public eye. And those poor daughters of theirs having to live with their parents' shame.

Andrew's doings? Really?

"Working Royals" So funny.

It’s all about damage limitation. King Charles has to put the future of the RF first and William will not entertain any compromises.
Removing Andrew from Windsor is a good move but oh my goodness! All those empty properties! 😮😮

OldFrill Thu 30-Oct-25 19:39:18

Seems a lot of ignorance as to why Charles has rightly done this. It may just be too little too late, many are now so thoroughly disillusioned with the monarchy it's going to be hard for them to recover.

Doodledog Thu 30-Oct-25 19:38:19

I think it's for the best. He was bringing the royal family into disrepute.

Smileless2012 Thu 30-Oct-25 19:35:08

A lengthy sentence for what Bukkie? He hasn't been charged with a criminal offence let alone been found guilty of anything.

Grandma70s

I wouldn’t mind being banished to Sandringham. Nice house in beautiful place.

I haven’t read all that much about Andrew’s doings, but it all a seems a bit over the top to me. He hasn’t been accused of murder, and he hasn’t been convicted of anything so far, has he?

Maybe read some more so you can make an informed comment.

Grandmabatty Thu 30-Oct-25 19:33:49

I think it is clear that there was more to it all, given the strength of King Charles actions. Andrew and Sarah don't come out of this whole business well.

Best news ever!

Bukkie Thu 30-Oct-25 19:24:10

Babs03 - Exactly. I have watched both Channel 5 programmes recently and have been disgusted by his behaviour and the lies he has told to worm his way out of trouble. He should have kept quiet and disappeared from public life. Anyone would have face a lengthy prison sentence for his behaviour.

Visgir1 Thu 30-Oct-25 19:22:45

So he's off to Norfolk with his big Brother privately funding him.

62Granny Thu 30-Oct-25 19:21:58

He is also moving out of the Royal Lodge and being banished to Sandringham Estate, funded by the King it doesn't say where Sarah is going.
Where will this end? I think more is to come out especially about Sarah.

vintage1950 Thu 30-Oct-25 19:18:45

If he hadn't been so obstinate things might have turned out better for him. Silly, silly man.

Babs03 Thu 30-Oct-25 19:12:43

So be it. Consequences are something we all have to face and Andrew should be no different.

LovesBach Thu 30-Oct-25 19:07:24

Breaking news is that Andrew will now be Andrew Mountbatten - Windsor, his title is no longer, and he will move out of Royal Lodge.
