Only took 36 years to make this law. Why on earth does every major scandal to hit this country take so long to sort out?
I appreciate it cannot be rushed by almost 4 decades is ridiculous. The Post Office, Infected Bloods and Grenfell Tower to name just a few are all going down the same route. It just prolongs the agony for the victims, denies them their compensation if they die, which is often the case and allows those responsible to avoid being brought to justice.

I am pleased to see this, MayBee. Hillsborough was a shocking episode, which took a very long time to resolve.
As in other examples, some mainstream media behaved appallingly.
I would hope for a more responsible press in the future, but might be disappointed.
