BBC expected to apologise for doctoring Trump videos

And so they should! Had any other TV channel done this they would have been closed down. The truth will out.

The BBC have got away with so much over the years and have always been biased and many would say, corrupt. Martin Bashir, Jimmy Savile, Huw Edwards etc

Anyone who backs this foreigner against our own state is a traitor, simple as.

What if it is our own state that is wrong?

Whether our state is right or wrong is none of any other state's business. It's up to our citizens to act. I think that's why Wwmk2 said that you have a vote.

With all the trouble that has been caused in this world with states interfering in other states' affairs don't you think that condoning interference in our state's business is not the brightest move?

I still dont understand the vote thing.

Whether our state is right or wrong is none of any other state's business

Of course it is if
A national state broadcasting corporation is doctoring the word.s. And especially if those words are of another nation's leader!

2nd paragraph - you dont think that the US or any other nation should do anything or say anything in the case of Russ ia/Ukraine?

ronib Tue 11-Nov-25 11:09:19

But there’s a real possibility that the US government could sue the BBC for unlawful interference in another country’s elections and I can’t see one billion dollars being sufficient compensation. As well as defamation? Also the case won’t be heard in the UK but in Florida I think. Bring it on?

Galaxy Tue 11-Nov-25 10:58:51

Well maybe you are then able to accept that those of us expressing concern about the BBC aren't being manipulated and are perfectly able to do our own thinking.

The point is you have been manipulated by the BBC, on numerous issues, as people are saying repeatedly the report covers, middle east, Trump, womens rights and so on.

If that was for me? No I haven't been manipulated as I check other news eg Reuters to see if news agrees.
As for the gender issue I have never agreed with any news that states that a man can be a woman and it wasn't only the BBC who promoted that preposterous lie.

A lie was perpetuated by the BBC, and reading through the posts on this thread it is sadly apparent that there are many who are prepared to condone it because of a visceral hatred of Trump.

It does not matter who the subject of the falsification was, the BBC has betrayed the trust placed in it. It has not maintained the duty of impartiality as cited in its charter.
That is what important.

You are spot on Eazybee. 👏👏🥺

^I'm at a loss to understand what these rigid moralists (who seem to drink in every word of GB 'News') want to achieve by the destruction of the BBC.^
More power for their own news channel?

I can see that, provided they are prepared to accept the same level of scrutiny and sanction. If they don’t, it seems hypocritical.

I haven't seen any posts that condone it but wanting to blame a whole organisation for this is is ridiculous.
Two of the top people have stepped down.
Do people really want to see the end of the BBC and rely on GB
news and others who have done much worse?
I can see a worrying manipulation going on here.

Trump has consistently claimed that the UK has fake news. He has exposed the problem and now hard evidence is hard to ignore.

Kettle and pot.
Speck and beam.
Doesn't make it right, but it’s funny in a sick sort of way, that the accuser is Trump.
Grandmabatty I like your post.

They obviously felt it was serious enough for the head to resign .At least he did the honourable thing which gives me hope things might change in the future.

I would like to add that the BBC of course is going to make errors, it would be world breaking if it didn’t, given the level and thousands of hours output, but it doesn’t warrant the hyperbole and calls for its demise we see on this thread and elsewhere.

I must be misunderstanding the sequence of events and background that I’ve read from a range of sources regarding this issue🤔

Please can you explain to me how Trump has exposed anything?
