Trump - Epstein e-mails
(403 Posts)There are newly released e-mails, which implicate the big beast. Time to watch and wait I think.

“ according to Virginia Giuffre's consistent testimony and posthumous memoir, Ghislaine Maxwell initiated contact with her at Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida when Giuffre was 16 years old. Maxwell recruited her under the pretense of a job offer which led to years of sexual abuse and sex trafficking by Jeffrey Epstein and his associates.”
VG wasn’t contacted by GM, she sat in the hotel reading of masseuses, her father had driven her there and he worked there
foxie48 there is a lot of issues surrounding Epstein’s death.
I think it was very convenient for many people.

Well looks like Trump has scored an own goal here, probably hoping the whole Epstein thing would fade away after he was ejected or that he could control how the information was released, making sure that there was no damning evidence against him.
He must be really rattled now, as must many influential and wealthy men.
Good.
Let’s have a reckoning for all those poor girls, many underage and picked up from outside school gates, used and abused by these men.
Yes , Maxwell is heavily implicated in this. She was the one that initiated contact with the vulnerable girl from a poor background, promising them money etc.
She took them back to Epstein who used them as he saw fit. They gradually got more and more groomed by Maxwell -acting as a “friend” and Epstein, and eventually were then loaned out to all the foul individuals.

I have yet to be convinced that Epstein committed suicide, there are issues around his death in 2019 that still need to be answered. Trump was POTUS in 2019, perhaps he thought with Epstein's death the matter would cease to be of public interest? I also wonder if someone like Virginia Guiffre would risk implicating Trump, who is well known for extracting revenge on anyone who crosses him. I think there's still a lot we don't know about Epstein's activities eg where did he get his money from, what links did he have with Russia and Israel, was his procurement of girls and probably boys too, a means of blackmail? There still some issues around VG's death too. No it's not going away, there's still too much to know.
More conspiracy theories?
Many men commit suicide in prison for various reasons, one of those reasons is if the man is a controlling type.
I don’t believe that VG death wasn’t suicide either.
Also she had every chance to name Trump or any other man in her recent book and didn’t do so. In fact she was pleasant about Trump.
Sometimes the true explanation is the simplest one.
Btw I know is speculation am not in any way saying there is any evidence relating to this.

Epstein certainly knew too much so his death was convenient.
Also Guiffre’s assertion that Trump was always nice to her doesn’t sit well with me, she repeated verbatim every time she was asked, usually people say things a different way over time, it is as if she was reading from an auto cue or repeating what somebody had told her to say?

Are you confusing this case in the US with the ethnic minority gangs of men here in the UK preying on schoolgirls?
I also think Melania’s involvement will prove a link to Trump’s involvement.

DAR if the FBI have the files, I’m not sure if that keeps them from destruction by the likes of trump etc.
Exactly.

Elected not ejected - Freudian slip??

Some more information
The desire among some in the MAGA movement to open the Jeffrey Epstein files stems primarily from the belief that they will expose a high-level, child-molesting cabal involving powerful figures in society, particularly targeting perceived political opponents. This demand is driven by several factors:
Conspiracy Theories: Many MAGA supporters, influenced by QAnon and other conspiracy theories, believe a "deep state" cover-up is protecting a network of elite pedophiles. The demand for the files serves as a way to validate these beliefs and seek "justice" against a perceived shadowy circle of elites.
Distrust of Government: The movement often promotes a general distrust of government institutions and official narratives. The initial lenient sentence Epstein received, the mysterious circumstances of his death (officially ruled a suicide, but questioned by many), and the Department of Justice's recent memo stating no "client list" exists, have all fueled the belief that key truths are being hidden.
Political Motivation: During the 2024 campaign, Donald Trump and his allies sometimes amplified these theories, suggesting a list of clients who visited Epstein's island might exist and that a Democratic cover-up was ongoing during the Biden administration. This tactic was used to galvanize his base around an anti-establishment message.
However, since Trump's return to office, the issue has created internal divisions within the MAGA movement, with some supporters expressing frustration that the Trump administration has not immediately released all the files and has downplayed the issue. Some congressional Republicans and some of Trump's most loyal supporters continue to call for full transparency to address the concerns of the voter base.
I wondered whether this day would ever come.
Mr Trump's ( unlikely to see the light of day) suggestion of 2000 dollars to everyone is not proving as diverting as he has hoped, I see.

It isn’t about journalists now, it’s about the releasing of the emails and if they contain anything damaging to DT and anyone else.He certainly was invited to parties thrown by Epstein, if there was anything more it will be obvious won’t it.
That depends on how much of the evidence has been destroyed.
The journalists are combing through the emails Oreo, they will find anything they can. I think you’ve painted a more simplistic picture of the implications of the release of these files, and those currently undisclosed, than is the case. It’s definitely not all about Trump and underage girls, that may not even be a significant factor, and it’s not why the Republicans who are supporting release want it.

The other complication for him is Marjorie Taylor Green.
She is mega MAGA.
Why is she now clamouring for the release of the Files?
Has been suggested that she is considering standing as the MAGA Candidate in 28.
For that to happen, Trump has to go down.
The plot thickens.
If seems that MAGA were greatly brought alongside by the "reports" of a pedophile ring in the hierarchy of the Democrats back when Hilary Clinton was running for President in 2016 against Donald Trump.
When someone becomes deeply invested in a political belief or conspiracy theory (like Pizzagate or misleading Brexit claims), that belief often becomes part of their identity, a way to understand the world and feel belonging with others who “see the truth”, when they later discover (or are forced to face) that the story is false, several different psychological and social reactions can happen.
The reaction to the dichotomy between “I’m a good judge of truth” vs. “I believed something false" can be very difficult to weather. Trump's backers must know that just as disinformation often targets feelings of fear, loss, or injustice and that people who feel economically or socially excluded are more likely to adopt extreme narratives that seem to explain why they’ve been “betrayed”. When a story falls apart, the underlying grievances can often lead to them backing away from the source or opposing it in just the same extreme way they supported it.
This is the BBC report on "The Saga of Pizzagate"

Maybe this explains some of the current attacks on the BBC led by those whose right-wing views are linked to Trump and the American hard right?

I’ve just googled it. It goes deeper than that and all to do with the elite conspiracy theories about powerful cabals etc.
Have a look.Don’t go too far down that rabbit hole! You may never get back.
It’s the most significant issue that could come out of this though, as inevitably that is the rabbit hole with the biggest babies in it, so the investigative journalist dogs will be on the case.

A lot of MAGA have always clamoured for the files. imaround will correct me, but I think the reason is that firstly you’ve got the Christian right wing, and secondly I would guess they reckon that there are a few democrats they can get?
The thing about Trump though is puzzling. Why on Earth would he promise thst he would open the files if he is implicated. The only thing I can think is that the FBI had them and perhaps the full content wasn’t divulged to him until he became President?
I am probably entirely wrong and likely to be put right by ismaround😊
