I think that the German markets have high security after previous attacks.

Unless I read the news wrong, it was a plot, not an attempt?

Yes Valdavi it was good it was stopped but frightening all the same.
At the Blackpool Illumination switch on there is a massive crowd on the promenade for the event. Massive water tanks are placed all along the switch on area and high fencing to protect them.

Surely this is positive though? Because they tried but were thwarted by authorities.
I must admit, the 2 things that really scare me even as an adult in our contemporary society, that would terrify me if I was a child, are these using car / van as weapon attacks which are fairly recent in origin, and Drones - particularly missile firing drones in war-zones. I wish these could be banned under the Geneva convention.

Happening far too often now. Wrong place wrong time. It’s scary. We can’t be vigilant about these types of sudden random attacks. We are sitting ducks.

5 men arrested after trying to drive a car into crowds at a German Christmas market in Magdeburg. It's not far from Berlin.
It's worrying as my daughter has gone to Berlin to the Christmas markets there. She has just messaged me that they were searching people going into markets and fairs.
