So first they were the Tory Party, then the Conservative Party, then the Conservative and Unionist Party and it looks as if the will become the Reform Party.

Whatever is said he was running away from the Badenoch Party - and who can blame him. I have a feeling he will feel very much at home with Retreat

Oh, good. Following Farage’s comments in April of last year that Jenrick is “not to be trusted” (just how duplicitous would you have to be for Farage to say you’re not to be trusted?!), desperately hoping they’ll refuse him. Of course, they won’t.
Imagining the expression on his wife’s face when she heard. They clearly never got over him losing the leadership contest (dare I say to a woman, a black one at that ……?).
Wouldn’t vote Conservative anyway, but well done Kemi Badenoch.

I was at a dinner last year where he was the Guest speaker... I was not impressed, he came across as just having his own sleazy ambition, with No principles. It’s also very critical of NF and Reform, so surprised he's might be going, they are welcome to him.

I was asked did I want to meet him? No, not interested in that sleaze ball.

Kemi has done the correct thing, he's been on manoeuvres ever since Kemi beat him in the leadership contest!

No great loss

Agree with all the above. No fan of Bradenoch but a surge of joy escaped me on this miserable, rainy morning.

Good decision.

Serves him right, treacherous weasel.

Well done Kemi 👏👏👏

She has denied him his moment of defection glory.

And made him look like a sneaky rat.
👍

Toad is Farage, as in Mr.Toad;
'I've only gone about the country humbugging everybody, that'all.'

Jenrick is one of the weasels.

Never liked Jenrick. Kemi is right to get rid, I just wonder why he took so long to go over to Reform. He has Reform written all over him.
I am not a Tory but miss the days when a centre right Tory party was in power or opposition. Never thought I would miss the days of John Major.

You can be sure that many MPs to the tight of the Tory party will join Reform and they have a fair chance of getting elected too.
Will there be a Tory/Reform electoral pact it there is it might be curtains for Starmer.

I think he was a liability though, very right wing, and maverick, hard to handle. If I were a mainstream Tory I’d be glad to see the back of him because it improves chances of moving the party forward.

Kemi Badenoch has gone up in my estimation for outing him. It annoys me when politicians make a defection all about themselves, and damage the party they are leaving deliberately.

She's not gone up in mine if she can't keep key members of her cabinet.

He has been sacked from the shadow cabinet by Kemi Badenoch. This is the statement from BBC news website:

Senior Conservative Robert Jenrick has been sacked from the shadow cabinet - and has lost the Tory Whip.
Kemi Badenoch says: "I was presented with clear, irrefutable evidence that he was plotting in secret to defect in a way designed to be as damaging as possible to his shadow cabinet colleagues and the wider Conservative Party.
"The British public are tired of political psychodrama and so am I.
"They saw too much of it in the last government, they’re seeing too much of it in THIS government."

Another ex Tory for Reform.
