The threat to illegal immigrants in the area isn’t going away as cracking down and deportation was high on the agenda for Trump and his administration and is popular generally with most Americans as well.It’s the way that it’s been implemented by ICE that’s the problem and the new boss will be looking to change that, possibly by getting police to keep protesters back while immigration gets on with any arresting of immigrants.

Woman interviewed in Minneapolis, saying that although Trump is supposedly making changes etc, the threat is not going away, because if they withdraw Trump will see it as loosing and he hates losers. (Something to do with his childhood and fathers mockery).

Ms Noem is preparing her Nuremberg defence " I was merely following orders". I think she senses a change coming, and has fears for how her behaviours might be viewed in the near future.

I never in a million years expected to watch the NRA turn on Trump.

Democrats just blocked the spending bill. We are headed for another shut down over ICE funding. This nice "we will do better act" press conference doesn't change my mind at all. Especially since Homan just called Minneapolis a theater, as if we are a war zone.

I am proud of my fellow Americans right now for standing up for what is right. Hopefully this turns the tide

The NRA and the other gun associations are being very vocal about combating the Trump admin’s rhetoric on legal, peaceful protesters exercising their lawful rights to carry arms. The gun lobby in the US is very powerful. They’ve managed to successfully challenge gun laws in the bluest of blue states, and have been staunchly Republican for as far as I can remember. This is an interesting clash for sure. The man they’ve donated millions to is openly opposing the very foundation of their existence.

My son is saying he is seeing an increase of people of all backgrounds at the shooting range in his town lately. Trump forgets that the 2nd Amendment exists for false kings and their anti-people governments. The gun lobby and other Republicans will indeed rein him in on this issue. Guaranteed.

I read earlier that Miller (?) said something about the gun accidentally misfiring and that is why the agents shot him. Except there is no evidence of the gun firing at all in the video, which means if it were fired, it would have been after the murder happened.

The agents involved in the shooting have been placed on leave, it is being reported. That is SOP for investigations of officer involved shootings.

So this happened. They had a special election and both Dems one. One of them by 95% I heard. If that is true, I don't think I have ever seen That happen before.
