Rennee Good's family lawyers have now released the results of an independent autopsy, showing three gunshot wounds. She was fatally shot by an ICE agent in Minneapolis. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said at the time the agent opened fire after Good tried to ram officers with her vehicle.

The DHS has not yet published the outcome of its investigation. We await details of what legal action Good's family lawyers may take against DHS. This thread has been started as the previous thread comes towards its 1000 post end to discuss the aftermath, impact and repercussions.

Alex Pretti was on the ground and his gun removed before he was shot so there was clearly no intention of asking him any questions.

Yes this was bound to happen. You need to defend yourself against a rogue government.

Bet the founding fathers had this in mind!!

What, that the LGBTQ armed themselves? I bet it isn’t 😄
The whole problem with the US is that everyone could be armed, it makes those in authority like police and immigration jumpy so that they shoot first and ask questions later.

Wow. I didn't have "all the big gun lobbyists turning on Republicans" on my 2026 Bingo card.

I feel like I am in the Matrix right now.

Well here is a bit of a twist. I think we may have found what is going to unite Conservatives and Liberals against Trump. The Second Amendment. shock

Liberals have been arming themselves lately. The LGBTQ community is one of the fastest growing groups sadly. They are refusing to get rid of their guns any time soon. And we know how MAGA feels about their guns. Both groups are looking at each other and then side eyeing Trump together due to his comments. The NRA even spoke out about it.

Whatever it takes. I don't think Trump wants to take on the Second Amendment. That is the one that will take him down. Literally and figuratively I suppose. Hopefully we can keep our eyes on the prize and bring more people to the light every time he opens his mouth.

I will say that my opinion is that he finally is threatening something that affects them. So far, they haven't been the ones suffering since it isn't their speech, religion and skin color being targeted. The Don't Tread On Me crowd is finally about to be tread on and they don't seem happy right now.

Sigh.

Another shooting. This time in Arizona. No other information yet.

That medical helicopter ride is going to cost taxpayers a whole lot more than an immigrant ever would.

I am seeing that ICE presence has increased in Arizona, as are protests. Hopefully it isn't our next hot spot, and if it is, we get it shut down quickly.

Quick update. I know very little about all this so far as I am busy today, but this is good news.

It is being reported that Federal Agents have started leaving Minneapolis today, along with Bovino. I am unsure how many are leaving though. They certainly do not need to outnumber the local police officers.

Rumor has it that Noem has agreed to sit in front of the Judiciary Committee. Chuck Grassley is in charge and he has been inviting her to appear for months. I know there is talk about having enough votes to impeach her. We will see if that rumor is true.

This is what the Judiciary Committee is.

"The U.S. House and Senate Committees on the Judiciary are powerful standing committees with jurisdiction over federal courts, constitutional amendments, immigration, and civil liberties. They handle legislative oversight of the Department of Justice, conduct impeachment proceedings, and vet judicial nominees. The 119th Congress Senate Judiciary Committee is chaired by Chuck Grassley (R-IA)."

I am hoping that Patel at the FBI goes down next. And that The Hauge ends up with Hegseth. A girl can dream.

Thanks for all your posts imaround- good to see a court is holding ICE to appear in court and the efforts taken to combat Federal misinformation about their Minneapolis occupation.

I did think that you were probably asleep when we were posting this morning (for us😊)

Good morning by the way. I know it is mid day there though. smile

MN has put out a website to combat the misinformation (lies) the feds have told about their occupation on Minneapolis.

It is very informative.

I like seeing the fallout. May it continue a long time. wink

A judge is not happy. (Bush era judge) And has summoned the acting ICE person to appear in court and explain himself. I would love to see him found on contempt of court and spend some time in jail, I doubt it will happen.

It is the independents who are important in this poll I think.

Elegran Tue 27-Jan-26 11:15:55

Economist YouGov national poll conducted January 16 to 19, 2026. Approximately 1,700 U.S. adults surveyed, weighted to be nationally representative. Question measured agreement with the statement that the country feels out of control. Crosstabs show majority agreement across multiple demographic and partisan groups.
94% of Democrats thought that the country feels out of control.
71% of Independents thought so.
Even half of Republicans thought so.

I'm wondering if ICE will be less aggressive in the future and the initiative will fizzle out like DOGE did.

Not if Miller has his way.

Definitely if Miller’s influence is reduced drastically.

LemonJam Tue 27-Jan-26 10:55:39

MaizieD- I really hope so🤞.

Whitewavemark2 Tue 27-Jan-26 10:14:40

I have been interested in reading about Miller’s influence on Trump, and how it has strengthened over the past few weeks.

The trouble is neither him nor a Trump are reading the room when it comes to the Americans attitude and dislike of ICE. And all that they stand for, including many red states.

It is thought that Miller and Trump (whom miller has in his pocket right now), will double down and continue with the Gestapo like tactics and it is thought that they will come up against real resistance in some states, particularly New York, and quite possibly other red states, where Republican senators will be looking at the mid-terms and possible loss of their seats.

It is difficult for us in the U.K. to understand the support for guns outlined in Art. 2, but many Americans including Petti - if he was still alive- will say that the ability to carry guns is essential for defence against rogue governments, and perhaps if Trump continues with his Gestapo tactics this will be the very reason to use them.

He has years yet as President Whitewavemark2 my own view is that he’s only just getting started.
He will do what he wants to do until any pushback gets too great but that leaves a lot he can do in the meantime.
I only worry about what he does as foreign policy as that’s what’s most concerning for the world.

Whitewavemark2 Tue 27-Jan-26 08:57:37

I am feeling more optimistic after events since the beginning of the year.

Trump started his missions with gusto and there was alarm from his citizens and the world.

But look what has happened.

People are beginning to stand up to this toddler’s bullying and it is showing that he backs down pdq when he understands they are serious.

I think perhaps his days of chaos are numbered.

Chocolatelovinggran Tue 27-Jan-26 08:49:30

This might be Mr Trump's Waterloo - not just the deaths, but the clear attempt to smear the dead. Unfortunately for him, there are witnesses, and evidence from cameras and phones which are hard to spin.
I am interested in the idea of how potential immunity for the POTUS in time to come may not be extended to his group of sycophants.
Ms Noem, Ms Leavitt et al ( The Cover Up Lying Gang) are as culpable as their leader.
Did you see the clip in which Mr Trump talked about how prices were falling?
An acolyte produced a board with pictures and statistics to illustrate this, as Mr Trump said " Milk is down 44%". The acolyte glanced at the photograph of a carton of milk with the caption - 5%, and without missing a beat, agreed, yes, down 44%..

Thanks for your updates and links, imaround.

It looks like such a sharp U turn it leaves me wondering ‘Now what are they playing at’?

MayBee70 Tue 27-Jan-26 07:48:25

Thanks Mamie. I need to concentrate more on what I listen to but there’s so much going on at the moment it’s a bit overwhelming!

I watched Leavitt gaslighting the American people saying that Trump wants nobody hurt in Minneapolis.

Who sent these thugs out in the first place Leavitt?

Did they say on TRIP that Trump can legally get away with lying but people like Leavitt could face prosecution in the future?

Yes they did.
