You tell me who you think is best placed to lead on a strategy to reduce the risk of corruption, sleaze etc., which is specifically what we were talking about then, and which I think is really important to prevent a further Mandelson or other type of scandal repetition due to inadequate vetting, and then Iāll tell you who I think the next government leader could be if I was choosing them. Otherwise itās just a dead cat.
Pardon?
A dead cat to ask who you would choose to replace Starmer if push comes to shove? How so? This thread is all about him.
I know itās difficult as itās not a great choice unless a little known backbencher emerges from the shadows, but if the May elections bomb for Labour then replaced he will be.
Clearly Starmer isnāt the best placed to lead on anything or he wouldnāt be in the pickle of his own making.
I rate Wes Streeting but heās young and also Yvette Cooper.
And the thing about Streeting, tho he appears sensible he was close to Mandelson. So thatās him out of the picture.
Reeves should be replaced as well as Starmer.
