I think DA is an amazing man, still recording animal life at almost a 100 years old.His early travels and filming are still a must see, and the clip with him and the mountain gorillas always makes me smile, him lying there with a gorilla lolling about on him.
What an inspiration he is.

He is indeed! A wonderful
Mam, with such a calm and soothing voice and so much dedicated to his passion.

I never tire of watching his documentaries.

Tut! Man not mam!

I remember in the 1950's watching Zoo Quest on a small TV screen. Even though the picture was in black and white, David Attenborough brought a kaleidoscope world of colour and wonder into our sitting room. I have followed and enjoyed his wildlife programmes ever since. Currently I am loving Secret Garden. He looks jolly good for 100 and I had to smile when reading about his health and longevity that he never felt the need to put on running shoes and go for a jog. A man after my own heart! Happy 100th Birthday, Sir David.

What amazes me is he lies on the ground to look at a hedgehog or whatever and can get back up again!

He is truly amazing, what a zest for life he has. The Secret Garden is so special as it is happening everyday in our own gardens.

Looking at old DA filming from the 50’s and 60’s he was a very good looking man🤭as well as a very charming one.

I was watching Zoo Quest last night as it followed on on iplayer after I’d watch the films about bees and birds. I’d forgotten how delightful they were. There was one in which he was feeding a baby orang utang (sp) condensed milk with a spoon. He put the tin down and I shouted at the tv ‘he’s going to steal it’ ( he did!). And then he put some antiseptic cream on a wound on his arm and I shouted ‘he’s going to lick it’ ( he did). I found myself getting very involved with it all.

Like others I really enjoy David Attenborough programmes. He explains things so well - and clearly.

He has made some wonderful programmes over the years and I'm enjoying Secret Garden too at the moment, another inspiring series.

The clip with the mountain gorillas was amazing but I don't think all of the interaction was filmed, unfortunately. The way he described what happened with the mother gorilla was truly amazing.

Yes, he is amazing for almost 100. I wish I was as fit and I'm years younger than him!
