Does Trump have any manners….

I’ve just seen a clip of a speech Trump’s made where he stated “… Charles agrees with me…”

That’s King Charles to Trump!

Also I very much doubt our King agreed with the War in Iran!

I believe the this was original a private conversation.

Now Trump’s posted another chilling photo of him holding a machine gun 🙈

He really is cringe-makingly awful!

There are far worse leaders in the world and unelected. Getting bored of the anti Trump on here.

... then defend him, tell us what we are missing in our criticisms...

For very good reasons - he is being criticised, and should be because he is causing global economic insecurity as well as geopolitical turmoil, and that affects all of us. He is unpredictable - even some of his supporters acknowledge that - and as he weaponises his executive power, no-one can be sure what the future holds because he changes his mind from one day to the next. That's not good for world peace nor the global economy.

Other leaders might well be as bad or worse - but I doubt they have the power that Trump has, that's the point.

If you're getting bored by the anti-Trump comments - then maybe just don't read them?

I doubt we'll ever know what they think of Trump, royal protocol being followed by them at least. I'm not a royalist but have to say they did really well, earned their keep, we can be proud of KC & QC

Think our King and Queen are doing brilliantly - I guess they will be very glad to get home. I just saw a video of Mr T greeting King Charles. He very clearly reaches out to do the strong man handshake - the one where he pulls you about and then into a clinch. I laughed out loud. The King has been practicing! He extended his hand very civilly and shock hands. You can see Donald really trying to jiggle him about but King Charles had his elbow tucked well against his ribs and a generally rigid 'frame'. The handshake did not last long at all!

Smileless2012 Thu 30-Apr-26 16:52:20

Charles didn't have to say he didn't agree with him Dreadwitch. We all know Trump is a liar and Charles is far too intelligent to have ever let Trump know what he (Charles) really thinks.

Dreadwitch Thu 30-Apr-26 16:23:13

Of course he hasn't. But then again Charles allowed him to say he agreed with him... Yet another person in a position to call him out on his lies who choose not to!

She is buried on his golf course, Maybee70. It is gossip about the tax break though. smile

Just seen a photo showing Trump,Melania, King Charles and Queen Camilla from behind and, would you believe, Trump has his hand on Melanie’s bum!!

Did he have his hand on Camilla's bum too?

icanhandthemback Thu 30-Apr-26 15:15:26

Whilst protocol wasn't followed, I think we have to accept that the President is top dog in his own land so if he chooses to do things differently, that is up to him and his country. That doesn't mean I don't think he is a complete ass though!

Trump has buried his ex-wife on one of his golf courses but the jury is out as to whether there is much of a tax saving though.

I think Charles will have good memories regarding how well he was received by Congress. I'm not much of a fan of his but I did think he navigated the situation very well or at least his speech writer did! 🤣

sunglow12 Thu 30-Apr-26 15:11:20

At least Trump didn’t have his hand on Camilla’s bum !

DrWatson Thu 30-Apr-26 15:11:08

The title "Does Trump have any manners" had at least one apt reply of "Yes, unfortunately all bad".

As was outlined in the 2015 C4 documentary, he is a liar and fraud, thoroughly repugnant, but got to prominence in the States through inheriting $200 million, and being an expert conman.

His first term showed clearly that his diplomacy skills are zero, even if his nose for weakness had powered a takeover of the vacuum at the top of the Republican party (he'd been a Democrat for a while, looking for a suitable opening there).

After the attempted revolution at the Capitol, it's a matter of wonder for most of the world that enough American voters put him back in the White House that he's now remodelling.

After the fiascos of this term, (the 'Hokey-Cokey' Tariffs nonsense followed by a pointless and needless war with Iran, the ongoing Epstein scandal, and an icing on the cake successful alienation of 1.3 billion Catholics worldwide), it's hard to guess what the Great Orange Baboon might manage next, if he can increase the degree of repugnance with which he's viewed?

NB >>> There are references to Melania and "bum" on here -- I gather that she is effectively separated from him, engineered a separate residence, and a massive allowance for her and their son, in exchange for her 'State' appearances as in the last few days. But - in case anyone feels sympathy, she well knew what she was signing up for.

I knew he had no manners when he took his girlfriend, who would later become his second wife, on a family Christmas vacation to Aspen Colorado.. This was in the 1990s, when his children were teenagers.

And then he buried his ex wife on one of his golf courses to avoid paying tax (or is that a myth…difficult to know what’s true with him confused).

Nanny27 Thu 30-Apr-26 14:55:10

But can we only dislike the very worst? Donald Trump is the leader of the free world and as such has enormous power. We in the UK and those in Europe are affected by his leadership.

I have just read and article written by Patrick Radden Keefe, written in 2019 entitled 'How Mark Burnett resurrected Donald Trump as an icon of American success.'

It seems that Trump's reputation as a successful businessman is based on his fame as the star of the popular American TV show 'The Apprentice.'

As an ill mannered oaf of very limited ability and intellect, Trump's senile delusions have led him to believe that he is a king, a supreme commander and therefore on a par with "his good friend" King Charles.

In answer to your question - “no”.

Well t least it wasn’t on Camilla’s bum! 😁

NO! Trump has no manners. He thinks our King is his buddy. I bet King Charles and Queen Camilla are counting down the days for coming home.

Not sure about that, either he and Camilla are excellent actors or they’re quite happy to be there.

Of course nobody can know for sure how they are feeling but I think they are excellent actors.

Part of their job is to appear alert, smiling, happy and interested no matter how they really feel. They might be bored or really not want to be there but they would never show it. Fortunately, they are both very skilled at hiding their feelings whatever they might be.

NotTooOld Wed 29-Apr-26 17:45:39

Yes, that was funny, wasn't it? Made me laugh anyway. grin

MT62 Wed 29-Apr-26 16:44:35

That was so funny when DT was talking of his M & Ds 63 yr marriage & that probably him & KC wouldn’t get to that! Camilla saw the funny side but Melania just sat there stoney faced 😂

He’s a lout. Unfortunately a lout with power.

Lout + power = dangerous combination!

I cannot stand Trump, he’s sleazy, unintellectual, ill mannered, stupid, and has zero social graces!

petra Wed 29-Apr-26 16:21:09

Think of the laughs Charles and Camilla will have for years to come 😂
The poor things can’t do what we did years ago when staying with friends in Spain.
The husband was acting obnoxiously so I said I had the date wrong when we were going home.
We left 2 days before the original date.

Remember when he barged in front of the late Queen when he was visiting the UK, when they were reviewing the troops?

The Queen had to dodge round him!

He did the same to Camilla which made me think back to that. Even the look on Camilla’s face reminded me of the Queen that day. She was the one actually shaking hands when Trump barged in and took over.
