I would say Oreo shows rather more common sense than some of the posters on here:
Trump started it; Netanyahu told him to; ... when the “books” are opened in future years it will all be confirmed what many suspect at present.
I have no idea how this conflict will end, and I would not presume to guess, but I do know I would not trust Iran at all.

I don’t doubt many of us wouldn’t trust Iran officials, but we probably wouldn’t trust Trump, Netanyahu or Putin either.

It’s a fact that Trump and Netanyahu started this latest conflict, it’s a fact that the strait situation has to be resolved and quickly, it’s a fact that some people are making vast amount of money from this conflict.

Perhaps Oreo does have some additional insight into military matters than some of us, however some of us on here might not appreciated her latest comment below, in fact, I find it disgusting!

Recent events as reported by CBC news this morning:

1) Trump received Iran's latest 14 point peace proposal.
2) Trump has now announced his plan, 'project Freedom" for the American military to "guide" commercial ships through the narrow waterway.
3) The US military says 15,000 'forces' and more than 100 aircraft are involved in the effort called "Project Freedom".
4) In response Iran has threatened to attack any vessel that tries to transit the Strait of Hormuz without permission form Iran's military
5 Trump has said over the weekend that he's likely reject the Iran peace proposal as "they have not paid a big enough price".

Your guess is as good as mine what specifically Trump/US 15,000 forces and 100 aircraft will actually do to "guide" commercial vessels currently stuck in the Hormuz blockade, not allowed to leave without Iran's permission, but it doesn't sound peaceful. Iran has responded along the lines that it will retaliate in any US or Israeli attack.

They won’t be on the ground, it’s all happening at sea, and yes someone will have to help the stranded ships so if the US will do it so much the better.
Iran is all bluster usually but if they do attack US military ships then they’ll very soon regret it.

For a lay person ( I presume) You seem to have an enviable amount of knowledge on warfare and world politics.

Hopefully we will see the end of Netanyahu in the October elections. It is in his own interests to keep wars going to save him from prison.

However, I do have to ask the question, where is Netanyahu and the Israeli troops in all of this?

While this war is making Trump and his inner circle loads of money he won't be in too much of a hurry to stop it. May be more difficult now as the insider trading is being called out in the US.
They are utterly despicable people knowing what this war is doing to their own people and others around the world but as long as they make far more money than anyone could possibly need the suffering of others will get scant regard.
