But he was rude shouting at he from a moving van. I didn’t think she look rattled but commented quite appropriately

I don’t think it was foul mouthed, but she thought she was at this service station to give good news about the fuel tax or whatever, when he shouted her name, she smiled, but then realised it wasn’t to compliment her or her boss.

shock

Has no one a sense of humour anymore?

Thanks Kandinsky

I thought Rachel Reeves looked rattled.
I couldn’t hear what the chap was saying.
Was it really ‘foul mouthed’ which I would never condone from anyone.
If however he was just heckling her, as a senior politician, she needs to get used to it, and learn how to react.

Margaret Thatcher certainly suffered enough from that when she was in power and was perfectly capable of putting people in their place with wonderfully cutting put-downs.

Rachel said something about good manners, I think.

Yes she did.

I think it was along the lines of I like Britain and it’s good manners

No, he said nothing personal, it was basically Labour are s**t and will you arrest me for flying the England flag.
Pretty tame tbh.

I thought he said to get Keir Starmer ‘out’.

To be totally honest get Starmer out is heard so often at the moment I cannot recall if he also said that or not.

It was just par for the course heckling.

Oreo Thu 21-May-26 16:13:25

I thought he must have said something horribly outrageous and personal to RR.
Apparently not.

Kandinsky Thu 21-May-26 16:11:05

He didn’t say anything that bad. Nothing most politicians haven’t heard before.
But because he was flying the England flag he should be sent straight to the guillotine.
Honestly, some of the responses on this thread are hilarious 🤣

It’s what you would expect Reform to say about it isn’t it?

Oreo Thu 21-May-26 15:59:52

Oh is that all?😁

GrannyGravy13 Thu 21-May-26 15:46:19

What was the foul mouthed thing this guy was shouting?

He shouted out of his van window, not word for word Labour are a rubbish party

What was the foul mouthed thing this guy was shouting?

Nandalot Thu 21-May-26 15:42:23

Some errors above. The ‘from the Express’ should come at the end of all the quotes. The paper didn’t comment itself. Also very annoyed with myself for forgetting the apostrophe on Reforms’.

J52 Thu 21-May-26 15:31:28

Those reactions say it all! What an example to the young.

Maremia Thu 21-May-26 15:24:42

Not acceptable, and should be properly dealt with.

Magenta8 Thu 21-May-26 14:29:35

I fear we are getting into Trump territory when these representatives of the Reform party support the actions of a foul mouthed man in van who shouted some witless, ranting remarks.

If this is the level of rhetoric that Nige and his cronies applaud, I have just found yet another reason not to support Reform.

AGAA4 Thu 21-May-26 14:21:05

Disgusting behaviour but what you would expect from Reform.

Nandalot Thu 21-May-26 14:14:13

I thought Rachel Reeves kept her cool and made an appropriate response to the heckler at the petrol station. However, I am rather surprised at the responses from jey members of the reform party.
Nigel Farage: Reacting on X, Mr Farage said: "I’d like to buy this man a pint. Does anyone know how I can find him?"
Roger Jenrick: He sounds British to me, Rachel! Good for him.
Zia Yusuf : "Could this legendary gentleman please get in touch.
From the Express.
"A future Reform government would like to give him a peerage for this outstanding public service.
