I think it was rude of Marco Rubio to blank KS at the G7 meeting.
He shook hands with everyone except KS.
If I had had been KS I wouldn’t have bothered trying to be noticed & brush it off.

He doesn't seek to blank Starmer - he was just moving one side of the table.
He greets the five people on that side of the table and moves straight to the side/front as though he's going to present something.

He doesn't greet Starmer directly because he is on the other side of the table - 5 of them are not greeted. He just greets the ones he has to navigate past.

She was spitting angry - although I 100% believe her, I just prefer Kier's approach I thought her anger was a bit naive when everyone who matters - after 4+ years track-record - knows that Trump loves to wind-up & you can't believe a word he says & very few do. Just chalk it up to an idiot (Trump) fabricating - bit infra-dig to get all het-up about it, he'll just find it amusing.

To be fair, the French do go in for that cheek kissing business, so she had little choice but to comply with etiquette.

I'm not sure how much live reel was shown in the UK, but there was a funny dance in front of the Palace of Versailles where Trump heads off stage right and Mme Macron swiftly grabs him and tells him, "Hold your horses, we're going in THIS way behind you, up centre".

Mr Trump has a talent for being untruthful, and unpleasant. He does this to his allies ( the Italian premier and he are aligned politically) as well as those he perceives as his enemies.
His followers in the USA seem comfortable to believe anything he says, even in the face of utterly contradictory facts, so he imagines that everyone else will simply nod in agreement with his every word. He will stick to his story, and many will believe him.

I doubt many American believe him if they have watched this live clip from CNN. His lies will soon be biting his ample bottom.

Trump doesn’t care for Keir, so I think a deliberate snub by Marco Rubio. He rather go straight to the bloke on the monitor.
Also, I don’t think he would have bothered shaking hands with those to the right of KS aren’t they members of the EU?
Anyway my take is I thought him rude.

Marco Rubio is well known for being rude and abrasive, within the senate as well as to political opponents of the Trump regime from other countries, so it’s not a surprise really. I think the Meloni incident with Trump is much more significant.

Indeed, Casdon - a cancelled visit to the USA indicates a definite froideur between Italy and Mr Trump.
And, as Ms Meloni reminded him, she has been a supporter in the past.
This typical act of stupidity might have unlooked for consequences. Mr Trump never apologises, does he, so this will not be resolved easily.

Fully agree that Starmer showed intelligence strength and courage keeping the UK out of this ridiculous Iran-USA Mexican stand-off. Don't quote me but I'm sure I heard one of the USA Trump inner-circle nutters(probably Hegsketh) stating that the UK and Europeans who refused to get dragged in by not allowing the Yanks to use their bases had "endangered their USA boys'lives ". What Humbug as if Trump wouldn't have used UK and European " boots on the ground " and endangered UK and European boys lives had he had the chance.
As for the glamorous Italian P.M, wasn't the Trumpster quite sweet on her at first , calling her beautiful and boasting that he could get away with such a non-PC sentiment because he was Trump ? The NATO Secretary General, Mark Rutte, has just revealed in Washington that Italy allowed 500 US flights during Trump's illegal war with Iran to take off from air bases in Italy. A bit embarrassing for her as she assured the country that Italy would not be involved in the war...

No more embarrassing for her than us surely as we allowed America to use our air bases.
