If only Mr Trump could find international leaders who would defer to him as promptly as the chairperson of FIFA..

Frankly, I cannot imagine anything worse?

I was at a Quaker Zoom before the weekend and it's international as regards people from the US. Now of course Quakers tend towards trying to be understanding and hoping for the best to come out of this man somehow,

But there were surprising wry comments about the level of heat there would be last weekend and how unfortunate it would be if Trump over heated...

Actually we said little. There are few words left to describe Trump that haven't been said a million times and this vain and destructive man knows no different from his own sense of grandiosity,

I do think literally - psychologically in his mind he equates "self" with "nation" ie I am the USA.

Farage is different - tho equally politically corrupt - but if he got power? The same self estimation and grandiose thinking.

Honestly, I’ve sat through two pretty sickening televised speeches/rants/interviews.

Trump and Farage, two faces showing the very worst of politics.

We have some great, hard-working, compassionate politicians across the world, a sad that so much media time is given to possibly two of the worst self-serving politicians in the western world.

I agree.
Trump and Farage are sad little tin pot politicians compared with some of the giants that went before.
If they had been bought off the shelf I would return them for a refund but I don’t think the Poundshop does refunds for reduced goods.

Yes he conveniently forgets about all the help NATO gave after the twin towers disaster.
Europe does need to be able to defend itself but the US hasn't put in as much money to NATO as Trump believes.
He is delusional. Thinks he is king of the world in the best country with the best of everything. The US has
its problems like most countries some caused by him.

What he is going to do about NATO is what I am wondering.

The rest of what you wrote was to be expected from him.

He’s touched on that, stating USA has invested “trillions of dollars into NATO, for what?”

I think he’d love to step away, he doesn’t understand what NATO is about, I believe his is the only country which has actually called on NATO!

Trump is costing up to Turkey’s leader, claiming they have a “special” relationship, and doesn’t appear to understand politics in any way at all, USA currently have sanctions against the procurement of weapons.

How thick is Trump?

Honestly, you couldn’t make it up. Just watching him speak and being interviewed sitting next to the Turkish leader.

He’s just slagged of the European NATO members, and most specifically Starmer, now he’s saying the USA has the greatest economy in the world and the best USA has ever had!
