With Sport and Harry grabbing the news headlines this week did anyone see this photo of King Charles and Queen Camilla visiting London Zoo on Thursday?
The photo tickled my funny spot - is Charles deliberately copying the pose of the penguin he met?

😁 it’s a cute penguin, it allowed them all to listen to its heartbeat through stethoscopes, it was prob hoping for a fish afterwards.
I thought KC looked hot and uncomfortable in a long sleeved shirt, tie and suit.

Agree the King does look a bit too hot . By contrast Camilla looks cool and very smart.
What a co-operative Penguin! I hope it was rewarded with a fish.😊

It may have just been too hot to protest 😁I would likely feel the same.

I thought the same. Charles is standing in the same pose as the penguin.

I saw it on the news with a short video of them visiting various animals, all very sweet. They should be able to wear far more suitable and cooler clothing due to this heatwave.

I mentioned the King’s inappropriate clothing in hot weather in another thread recently but then I did notice in the paper that he was offered to take his jacket off but he declined. He did, however do so when visiting an army base recently where he drove a tank.

KC did look a bit warm but maybe he’s in the tradition of my dad. He never removed his jacket - his concessions to summer were to forsake his long johns and discard his sleeveless pullover. You knew it was hot, then! 😁

Charles (now King) has trained for this position all his life and wears whatever is deemed appropriate by his Advisors.
Let’s hope he goes home and puts casual slacks or shorts on.

And in other royal news.

On Monday, activists unfurled a large banner in the throne room of Buckingham Palace, featuring an image of the former prince with Epstein.

They also displayed a second, smaller banner with the words “What did you know?”

Tt is simply not believable to think that Charles and William weren’t briefed years ago about the numerous allegations against Andrew.

“Security services, police and government would have had concerns about Andrew’s behaviour, and would have briefed the palace. Not least because of the potential threat to national security and the risk of blackmail.”

It has been reported that detectives from Thames Valley Police investigating Andrew will travel to the United States in the coming weeks to interview the family of Ms Giuffre, visiting her brother and sister-in-law, Sky and Amanda Roberts.

We need full disclosure from the palace, and as they refuse to speak up the government must take action. This is why it’s so important that Green MP Sian Berry is this week calling for reform of freedom of information rules to end royal secrecy.”

Full disclosure, if there's anything to disclose isn't going to happen while the police investigation is ongoing.

Activists- “Security services, police and government would have had concerns about Andrew’s behaviour, and would have briefed the palace. Not least because of the potential threat to national security and the risk of blackmail.”

Crikey- at what stage did the Security services, police and government's have concerns about Andrew's behaviour to such an extent they were concerned about national security and the risk of blackmail? What date/time period do the activists suggest the Security services, police and government "briefed the Palace'? If the Palace was actually briefed by the Security services, police and government as speculated would it be right for the Palace to disclose such information now in the middle of a police investigation against AMW? I suggest not as any such sharing of high security information could undermine the prospect of prosecution and fair trail.

That's a lot of speculation and a long way from a cute photo in the zoo!

Enjoy the summer, cute penguin photos and let justice take its course.

P-p-p-p-p-p pick up a Penguin! But don’t expect much chocolate on it these days.☹️

Skinflation Oreo 😢

It in no way makes it right, but Royal men have had salacious secrets since time immemorial. Taking their “life of privilege” too far - but not all of them of course.
When the Queen was alive she tried to protect her son AMW , but in this instance it was misguided.
I doubt he will be afforded the same support from the surviving Royals.

In a lighter tone - can we still get Penguin chocolate bars? Haven’t seen any for ages.

Yes, they're still sold.

However, due to the price of cocoa, the amount in the bars has been reduced to below the threshold required to be legally called chocolate. They are now called chocolate- flavoured bars.

The Queen’s parasol looks far too small ☂️

Won’t taste like the ones I remember from my school lunch box 🐧

So disappointing Magenta
Another fave choc bar from school days was Cadbury’s Skippy with caramel in the middle.
If that still exists it’s probably disappointing too.
