What those people must be going through. Having had a few hot days gives us some understanding. To be without water and a home in the heat. The whole place is destroyed. And now Trump is waiting for Netanyahu to finish it off.

Hamas I despair, they refuse to disarm so nothing changes how much more suffering must Gaza suffer. Hamas started this war yet will not admit defeat.

Yes so sad, all Israel has to do is recognise that Gaza exists as a sovereign state, and Hamas will disarm, but it won’t so they won’t.

Netanyahu has a General Election imminent and certainly can't afford to lose: if he does get voted out he can't rely on Trump to throw him a lifeline.

Trump readily throws political allies and advisers to the lions.

It is no longer a war. It is a genocide.

Elegran, there isn't much our PM can do just now, but something as little as making it harder for money to flow there through trade, could be a start.

Whitewavemark2 Mon 17-Aug-26 17:11:41

Just listening to Jeremy Bowan - oh Gaza - you poor, poor souls.

It was.mentioned by the surgeon in interview. He said he tried to tell Starmer about the atrocities he saw happening and tried to treat but Starmer didn't want to know.

I for one wouldn't want to see pics and video of atrocities occurring, not even to prove that they are genuine. Either you believe what a respected experienced surgeon tells you is happening or you don't. Seeing the pictures isn't necessary.

What could Starmer do that would make Netanyahu stop this carnage, anyway, once he is this far in with Trump's blessing?

Maremia Mon 03-Aug-26 18:19:21

There is no justification for that MayBee70.

Whitewavemark2 Mon 03-Aug-26 15:32:19

Anyone who commits these sort of crimes is less than human imo.

We have witnessed these sort of crimes being committed in the last century and the world condemned them.

MayBee70 Mon 03-Aug-26 14:11:25

Didn’t see it myself but my partner says that Sky News have footage of ambulance staff being held at gunpoint when they were trying to save a woman and her unborn child, which resulted in only the woman surviving. The IDF are denying it. He was in tears when he told me about it.

Aveline Mon 03-Aug-26 10:27:51

Meanwhile Israelis seem to be trying to kill all Palestinians

Anniebach Mon 03-Aug-26 10:00:28

Hamas set a goal, “kill all Jews”

Wyllow3 Mon 03-Aug-26 08:55:16

I think the idea is to force their hands so they get what the current Israeli regime want.

But if they want to get ordinary Gazan people on their side, its a pretty rotten and corrupt way to do it imo - why, it just creates more hostility from the population.

Maremia Mon 03-Aug-26 08:34:14

Now, why would there be Israeli strikes during ongoing negotiations?
Could it deliberate provocation?
To sabotage the talks?

Wyllow3 Mon 03-Aug-26 00:52:20

At least 13 killed in Israeli strikes on Gaza after Hamas agree disarmament deal
😡

More photos go ruins. and people so used ti it "its normal"

They are indeed. And some are scared to say so.

I have some across this group, and I think they may well be very worth supporting - my cousin knows a lot more than me and reckons they are very good. It is medical not political

Not all Jewish Israelis support the actions of the present government under Netanyahu. The website of Rabbis for Human Rights, who assist Palestinians on the West Bank whose territory is under threat, is very interesting. rhr.org.il/en/

Wyllow3 Fri 31-Jul-26 19:34:14

Hmm. How many have.

AGAA4 Fri 31-Jul-26 19:27:12

Israeli officials say they will not pull troops back until genuine Hamas disarmament.
How will that ever be proved. There are so many tunnels and other hiding places where Hamas could have been stockpiling weapons.
Trump's plan won't work.

Maremia Fri 31-Jul-26 18:49:21

Trump's Board of Peace to the rescue.
Who still belongs to this organisation?

Oreo Fri 31-Jul-26 17:15:30

They will then attempt to get on this so called Palestinian technocratic committee.

Apparently the HAMAS Covenant in which they vow never to stop their Jihad until Israel and every Jew is wiped off the face of the earth. They are simply buying time.

Of course they are, and demanding that Israel withdraw their troops before they, hamas will disarm.
They will possibly then give up some weapons but keep the cache of armoury in the tunnels they have built.
They have been much weakened by Israel and the flow of money and guns disrupted by Iran has likely slowed.

Thanks for the update Wyllow

Had a search online choughdancer, for that organisation, Standing Together.
Lots of positive comments and info.
