More like great dislike and mistrust. Fear? Hmm, determination I think.

Farage and Reform constantly appear to need media attention.
They appear to seek this with a series of very controversial and some ridiculous plans, all aimed either at migrants, mainly, but not limited to, Asylum Seekets, but also now (surprise surprise) those on disability benefits.
But why?
Why does he constantly seek attention? Why does he put forward frankly unrealistic, non-legal solutions to problems and issues that he and his party have blown out of all normal proportion.
Are AS arriving on small boats a problem, yes. Is the number of young people unemployed an issue, yes.
However, if both of these issues/problems were to disappear tomorrow, would that mean we and the rest of the country would all be suddenly alright and the cost of living drop?
In my humble opinion this is a resounding no!
So my question remains. Why? Why come up with ridiculous, uncosted, unplanned so called “solutions”?
Why oh why he is constantly harping on about Asylum Seekers, who make up approx 1% of our population, and now people on disability benefits?
I’m not saying we shouldn’t all work towards resolving these issues, they exist, they require resolutions.
BUT, in the real world, on a day to day basis there are many many other issues which deserve time, effort and money.
I truly abhor the way he tells half a story, most of us are not personally affected by migration of any type. Please don’t tell me that the majority of those arriving here are fit and healthy young men in their thirties, then in the same breath claim they take up valuable places in schools, GP surgeries and hospitals.
PIP, the non-means tested benefit is claimed by both working and no -working people.
Universal Credit, the means tested benefit, is paid to both working and non-working people.
Come on Farage, at least tell the whole story, the entire truth and facts. 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
More like great dislike and mistrust. Fear? Hmm, determination I think.
Ona lighter note, but indicative of his entitled attitude, Farage has managed to fall foul of parliamentary rules already by filming on the roof of the Houses of Parliament without permission, the self same thing that Lee Anderson was admonished for in 2023. Obviously, he feels the rules don’t apply to him.
I suspect a more accurate word than fear is despise.
All the MPs in the House of Commons fear Farage and Reform I think.
Witness the subdued atmosphere as he takes the oath again. Hoyle didn't shake his hand and had little to say.

If he does, he will be given another new MP letter by Commissioner for Standards Daniel Greenberg explaining what interests have to be declared and inviting him to an induction meeting. He ignored the one given to him on 5 July 2024. Procedures and rules don’t apply to him.
Next he’s off to Reform conference which is being held outside the official conference season. I wonder why? Anyway, Platinum tickets of sale for £3,000 to have a champagne breakfast with the man who beat a bin.
Next stop for Binface on his intergalactic journey. Holborn & St Pancras.
The question is, will the Turquoise Pimpernel turn up at Westminster today to be sworn in as an MP?
Farage's popularity rating according to yougov is now 23% with Badenoch on 35% & Burnham on 45% (not that that will last at that level).
So given they're on of the smallest parties in parliament there's absolutely no excuse now for giving them airtime.
Maybe Libdems can get a bit more media time again, they at least don't spread misinformation when they're on & have some good ideas to contribute.
Good, the more voters they alienate, the better.
This makes very interesting reading, highlighting the pros and cons for Reform in joining forces with the thorn in their side, Restore.

Today's latest Reform priority: Lee Anderson, the party’s chair, said that if Reform came to power it would insist that those in social rented homes would be required to keep their properties decorated and gardens looked after. If not, social housing tenants will be evicted, the party has announced......
Absolutely, Cossy - don't forget the other must have - a child, or two, but no more.
Possible exemptions for those who have a twin second pregnancy.
They are tearing themselves apart day by day.
Far too much publicity. Unfair to all of the other 'minor' players.
Cossy - yes- more ridiculous by the day 🥱
Nice one cossy.
Yup.

So, yet again I turn on the news and there are Reform yet again. Tice saying Reform will prioritise married people when it comes to social housing. Why didn’t the interviewer point out that he and Oakshott aren’t married ( although I suppose they are never going to need social housing ). At least the interviewer asked him where Farage was.
Yet another totally ridiculous and moronic idea.
I’m surprised he didn’t say just white heterosexual married couples who don’t claim PIP and support Reform, who have to agree to hang both the St George and Union flag from every window.
They are just ridiculous, bit sad, quite vile set of individuals.

I think Farage has reached his peak hopefully it’s downhill all the way now.
I agree and as we have no GE for the next three years, 🙏🤞, and as the current 7 MPs cannot hold things together and get on, and they cannot scrape together more decent candidates and then there’s the Farage continued investigation……
I truly believe they are simply not to going to be around at the next GE and if they are, imho, they have zero chance of forming a majority government and no other party would allow their ridiculous ideas to become law.
Gabrisha I can only hope you are right!

Sorry, Farage in first sentence. what happens when I get cross!
The latest thing - it is in an "Organise" petition - is that Fareafe has said he would abolish PIP.
Yes, abolish.
No talk of "but people with disabilities will get x and y instead"
Or" we will provide x and y but these will be the guidelines.
They are terrifying! do they not realise PIP means people can work and live half decent lives. He is riding on the wave of "oh its just the "worried well" claim it.

I am a retired person who worked hard from the age of 14 , brought up on a council estate, parents divorced, became a single parent when I got divorced ! Never used benefits, only child benefit, supported my daughter through university, life’s changes and helped her get her home!
So no! Farage does not speak for me or mine as he is a spoon fed, loud mouthed grifter who does not understand the meaning of hard work !
Well said and well done!
You and your family are, to me, true Brits.
