Yes, the POTUS who wants to call Lake Ontario ā€˜Lake America’ now wants to call the Straits of Hormuz ā€˜Trump Straits’.
He obviously hasn’t yet reached peak stupid.

I wonder if, when he was small, his mummy refused to buy him a plaque for the door to his bedroom saying "Donald's Room".
Do you think that might be at the root of this?

Now that did make me laughšŸ˜‚

Roll on the United States of Britain. You need to reclaim your territory to save the people from insanity.

Donny already owns parts of Scotland.
The Trump Estate and Trumpberry.

I think you are right on that score.

I think what I'm trying to say is that British voters, generally, are more sceptical than their American counterparts, regardless of which party they vote for.

Any party leader behaving in the way Trump behaves - saying the - sometimes pure gobbledegook - things he says; trashing other countries, disrespecting veterans/reporters/women, etc - I believe would be got rid of rather quickly. We demote them for far less...

I've read comments from people on SM sites saying that they wished Trump could be "our leader" as he'd "sort things out" here in the UK. Also heard one or two suggest we need "someone like him" to 'take charge'.

I never assume that those with an opposing view to my own are lacking in the IQ department but I'd definitely make an exception here.

Of course, we have Farage - and I think he's shifty and devious... but he's not stupid. If he were to start rambling inarticulately and metaphorically continually patting himself on the back in the way that Trump does, I believe that even his erstwhile followers would start backing away.

I think and hope I'm right that there's something in the British 'psyche' that's quite different to that in our American cousins.

Well...erm...
on the news today was about Republicans up for the vote not going to the "Trmp mid term" "conference" as they consider it wiser to stay home and campaign for themselves in their own state not under the "brand".

I must say, Trump didn't look well at all. My- is he messing up worse and worse on Iran. Under statement of the year.

Good morning. Another day, another whatever this is. Apparently Iceland is having words with the Ambassadors.

Um, hasn’t he more important things to worry about such as the war in Iran and the Epstein files?

No. That's for the rest of us to worry about. Or something like that, probably.

Diversionary tactics.

Today he is trying to rename New Mexico. angry

The MapQuest App was the number 2 download in the US after Apple and Google Maps changed the name of Lake Ontario.

It's actually embarrassing at this point.

Julest Mon 07-Sept-26 16:47:44

Unfortunately it looks as if it’s Lake America now!!!

Whatever next!! šŸ™„

Very funny!!!!

sweetpea Sun 06-Sept-26 15:11:02

I rather think people still refer to eg Lake Ontario as such along with all his other renames using the originals! I think he is currently in cahoots with the Argentine PM with regard to the Falklands, watch that space!

Even that isn't free. Just an estimate, of course.

This fools vanity knows no bounds - the money wasted on renaming maps, gold leafing the White House, building a ballroom, resurfacing the reflective pool again and again while declaring war on a country because Israel wanted him to...........is but the tip of the iceberg of his corruption and mania.

My two daughters (Downs) call the toilet ā€œthe trump bowlā€ Nothing to do with me 🤬! They do current affairs at day services!

M0nica Sun 06-Sept-26 08:41:09

imaround I my last post I was writing about Trump's re-naming fruit=loopery, and nothing else.

On a wider basis the damage Trump and his family and associates are doing to the US beyond description. It is going to take generations for the US to regain its place in the world and for its people to pay the price of electing him into power.

Maremia Sun 06-Sept-26 07:03:23

Unless the Trumps find a way to get their fortunes out of the country, when the coup comes, they could lose everything.
Sounds fair.
