A 3 year old boy is missing in Brantham, Suffolk since 3pm yesterday.

Little Noah is partially deaf, and non-verbal and “allegedly” ran out of a park and down an alleyway whilst out with his grandfather.

I truly hope and pray that this little lad is found very soon, safe and sound, and returned to his family who must be frantic.

Poor little scrap. I hope he's found soon. How awful for everyone concerned, my thoughts are with them.

How can you not find a baby that wanders off from a playground. How far can he walk? This scenario is very puzzling.

I envy your lack of imagination

I don’t - I am a natural worrier and with tinies it’s the only way to be.
One DGS aged 3 slipped away from his mother, a friend and a nanny , (so three grown young women with 4 tinies aged 2-4 between them ) in a multi-storey car park, the sort with doors that open automatically as you approach them
One mum stayed with the three children while the other two ran up and down and round every level of the car park hunting for him.
He was found giggling squeezed in beside, practically behind, the Pay-on-foot machines.

Poor little baby - how scared he must be - and the grandfather, how guilty he must feel, but it can so easily happen. I lost my granddaughter once in a store - she had decided to take a rest and I found her sitting on a stool, drawing on a colouring book, which I had just picked up for her , but not yet paid for 😂

Very true retrograde. A 3 year old can indeed disappear very quickly. Poor Grandad!! I hope and pray for the safe return of little Noah. Missing all night 😱! Devastating .

"allegedly" is not helpful and seems to imply doubt about the grandfather, who fell over and lost sight of the boy. This is a little boy, with special needs, who is missing. I bet many of us have turned our backs for a second and lost sight of a child. Three year old can run and disappear in the blink of an eye.

I lost sight of my son on a Portuguese beach, he was four, 35 now, I still remember how I felt in those very few minutes.
I do hope this young lad turns up unharmed, he can’t shout for help or properly hear people shouting for him, 🤞.

Thank you OldFrill I must of missed that

It can be a worry if one’s own age or level of fitness make it hard to keep up with the speed of a lively toddler.
I used to take my eldest two as tinies to the Botanical Gardens in Birmingham, rather than Cannon Hill Park, based to a extent that the former was not “open” on all sides and if, as they sometimes tried to do, they wanted to play Hide and Seek with Granny, at least they were contained.

It's all too easy to let your mind go to the darkest scenario.

I sincerely hope this little lad is found very soon.

As a Grandparent who sole care of my GC on a regular basis, it's my worst nightmare. Noah's poor Granddad must be distraught.

Dreadfully scary for him and his family.

This was highly publicised on X yesterday afternoon.

I wonder why it took much longer for police to put out an alert. I didn’t see it on local or national news until this morning.

An alert went out at 17.18 yesterday afternoon.

Dear little chap .
It's heartbreaking .
I'll pray for his safe return.

Smileless2012 Wed 16-Sept-26 12:26:19

It's heartbreaking isn't it and all we can do is pray.

Doesn’t look good ☹️
A nearby pond and woods and the coast.Poor little thing.Children can run off very quickly and any grandparent wouldn’t be able to catch them.

Cruiselover Wed 16-Sept-26 12:04:48

I've just heard about on the news, unimaginable what the parents are going through. Pray that he is safe and found quickly. 🙏

AGAA4 Wed 16-Sept-26 11:57:38

500 volunteers have joined the police in the search. People are being asked to check their door cams and sheds.
Some in cars have gone further afield to look for him.

Cossy Wed 16-Sept-26 11:57:12

I cannot even imagine, I felt physically sick when I saw the report.

Greenfinch Wed 16-Sept-26 11:55:09

My thoughts are with the family and hope he is soon found. I’m sure many of us can relive a time when we lost sight of a child for a few minutes. How awful must that feel overnight and how frightening for the child.

Aveline Wed 16-Sept-26 11:54:58

That wee thing. His family must be so frantic and he must be so confused and distressed. Praying he's found safe soon.

J52 Wed 16-Sept-26 11:54:07

I also hope that he is found safe and well.
They family must be distraught.

AGAA4 Wed 16-Sept-26 11:51:23

This has upset me this morning. A child in difficulty always does. I hope that little Noah is found soon.
He is only 3 so must be so distressed.

MT62 Wed 16-Sept-26 11:48:20

God, I heard about this in the car.
Pray he’s safe, & found very soon.
His grandfather must be in absolute bits.
