Perhaps they should have thought about that before he wrote a book slagging them off and doing the stupid interview with Oprah.
They are definitely running out of money, and Netflix have cancelled both of the shows they had with.
No wonder he wants to reconcile and no wonder William is digging his heels in and saying no.

Really? So a subject that's being featured, right now, on the BBC, Sky news, The Guardian and every other main news outlet shouldn't be discussed on this forum under the sub forum "News & Politics"? Why's that then? It can't be tired because it's only just been released. And it's not nasty because the OP has only just opened the topic. So what's the problem?

I think the problem might just be the nastiness and tone.

This situation is just sad and horrific and yes, Meghan and Harry do owe most of the RF a genuine and heartfelt apology.

I hope that slowly the brothers can rebuild their tattered relationship and both move forward without bitterness and hatred in their hearts.

I hope their children can meet and know each other.

I hope Harry and William’s cousins stand by them both.

Harry made some major mistakes and needs to prove himself, William needs to think just for a moment what his mother would have wanted.

I wish them all well thanks

I agree that Harry needs to make amends with his family, life is too short and already his father has had cancer. It won’t be easy, indeed I think William will the hardest nut to crack, with good reason, he has not only had to shoulder the burden of representing the royal family without his brother by his side, but has been there for their father during his cancer journey and for his wife.
Harry needs to stop being so self absorbed and to start thinking of those he has hurt but I feel he might have reached that realisation.

I am sorry you find this nasty, that isn't my intention but I do find the way they are trying to try to manipulate the press to their own ends leaves a bad taste, they ask for privacy but then do everything to get themselves filmed and give out interviews so obviously the press is going to print the stories.

I didn't see any nastiness and tone in the OP Cossy; just a repeat of what's in the national news and their opinion on it. My opinion is that, if I had a family member who had written a book, given national tv interviews and podcasts, revealing very personal, defamatory and false accusations against me; it would be a cold day in hell before I'd have anything to do with them again. You only have to look at the estrangement forum on this site to see the catastrophic, and very permanent fallout between estranged parents and estranged adult children to know that, sometimes the damage is too great to repair and their is no way forward.

Take what you want says God, and pay for it.

Harry has taken what he wanted with no thought for anyone but himself. Now he is paying for it, and cannot understand why things aren't going as he expects.

He has hurt many people, disappointed many people,
and at present is incapable of recognising his world has moved on and he has lost his place in it.

I hope William and Harry will be able to move forward without bitterness and hatred in their hearts but that may well mean they do so by going their separate ways because as OoohLaLa has said sometimes the damage is too great to repair.

Prince Harry: “I want reconciliation... but some people don’t”.

The latter part of this comment is a very obvious pointed dig. He just can’t help himself.

Smileless2012 Tue 20-Oct-26 22:04:54

Harry will just have to accept that "some people don't". Maybe he should have considered that if in the future he wanted to reconcile that those he estranged may not want too, before he behaved as he has done.

I think Harry has to realise that as he alone made the decision not to be a working Royal, leave the country, write books and give interviews, he cannot now expect that he decides that he now wants a different path and expect everyone else to jump to attention. Obviously he would need to make genuine, sincere apologies to those he hurt. That could and probably should involve a public statement of his wrongdoing to them as he was quite happy to make his accusations etc publicly. Even so if I was William and Catherine I'd be very wary about any interactions with him and his family. Harry must realise that trust is easily broken and incredibly hard to put back again. For all their sakes I hope at least a civil understanding can be reached so they can be at the same gatherings. It won't advance things by comments such as the one quoted by FGT as that is still seeking to blame others and paint himself as the victim.
