I’d say a fairly cautious and sensible budget but nothing particularly exciting

I for one am glad it is, "nothing particularly exciting".
Especially after last year, which seemed to have a build up of two months, with lots of media specualtion, not all of which came true[but that could have precisely been because of media speculation], and some of it bad in places.

Nothing to frighten the horses, as far as I can see it is steady as we go.

Appreciate the £100 towards fuel bills - dependent on council tax band, - but I assume that’s home owners only?

Why? Why would it only be home owners? I’m not too sure but 80% of households were quoted?

Any comments, positive and negative.

From what I’ve see , fairly nothing either way, almost as usual.

Welcome the gas standing chargings and some of the very modest changes.

Happy with the bus cap of £2 being nationwide (again),

Some good things continuing like VAT on electricity stating for a further period, fuel duty cap continuing for a short period, good increases in minimum wage for over 21,s.

I’d say a fairly cautious and sensible budget but nothing particularly exciting.

Though I applaud any attempt to help cost of living and it’s seems on the surface our economy isn’t as dire as it could be.

Any thoughts welcome.
