According to this, 87% of Venezuelans say they do not have enough money to buy food. In the New York Times, where this article is, there are links to other stories about the political disaster there and its consequences, such as that people have resorted to ransacking shops and transported food has to have an armed guard.

I have watched various news reports and it has been in melt down for months.

I keep adding a disclaimer of knowing Russia Today is tantamount to being a propaganda station but it has covered the Venezuela issue and it was an eye opener to see the poverty, very sad indeed.

I saw pictures of inside hospitals about a month ago, and it was a dire situation.
I couldn't understand why it wasn't in the news.

Russia Today definitely has a different slant on things to British and American News.
But it also does make you see things in a slightly different light, which is not always a bad thing.

Well I keep repeating how !azy I think our news stations are, I get quite cross at times how little coverage we see regarding world news, especially European news which is a definate eye opener as to the problems there.

Some may already be using the murder of MP Jo Cox for political gain

Following the savage murder of Jo Cox, Britain’s EU referendum has ground to a halt. While both sides have officially suspended their campaigns, some are struggling to resist the chance to snatch the political opportunity.

from RT they are right there

The US has been complicit in the destabilisation, particularly the Bush government.

I will not argue the toss over American involvement or Russia.

Hugo Chavez, the Socialist Revolution is even today revered by the left . Why?

The BBC web page is not bad for World News, there is quite a lot on it about Venezuela, also there are some news programs on the World Service (radio) that are truly International. I also used to watch Al Jazeera but it has moved and I can no longer get it on my tv, but their website is quite good.
The world is falling apart.
