This is dreadful I only logged on to have a look at this site a couple of days ago and now I can't stop coming back to read more of the postings. Is this a common problem, or do I need specialised help?

Henry vac waiting to be plugged in, dishes mouldering in the sink, bed unmade [not really] but I really do need a widdle...however, reading all the marvellous, funny postings from like-minded grannies is much more fun.wink

I must be addicted too, I've not even had my lunch yet, just haven't been able to tear myself away from Gransnet or is it GN ?

I must avoid getting addicted but some of the posts are so funny. Will try to limit myself to morning, noon and night with a wee break in between.

And we've all probably got the cheek to moan about 'those youngsters that can't live without a mobile phone in their hands or never off Facebook!' I am falling under the spell of Gransnet too........HELP!! No, on second thoughts don't help, I am quite enjoying it all. grin

I am definitely addicted & starting to recognise the names of the "regulars"!
I hope we will be able to keep up the high standard of the contributions. I guess some topics will keep resurfacing but there will always be different views.

I belong to a small library, recently the librarian commented that the borrowing rate had reduced over the past year especially among the over 60's. I told her, I'm not surprised, instead of sitting in their armchairs reading books, the majority are probably surfing the net and joining forums, which can be addictive. If I have a lot to do, I won't put my pc on, as I know I will be on for ages. Yes it is addictive, I like looking at all the different subject matters.

Time goes so quickly on the internet, doesn't it! there's always something to look up and find out. When my kids were small if we wanted to find something out for a school project we'd have to go to the library, find a book [or even order one] and it would take days/weeks. It's amazing to post a subject and get replies from people all over the world almost straight away. I think it is addictive, because it's like an instant gratification. When I've been to the cinema, the first thing I do when I get home is check out reviews from different film forums. You can also discuss a subject that you know bores your friends and family. It worries me that I don't read as much as I used to.
