I have almost finished taking these capsules - mixed with water as much too big for me to swallow. Unfortunately it does not seem to have helped at all with either pain or mobilty. I do go to the gym once a week for a specialist session for people with lung problems and my thumb/wrist joint is just as painful as ever.

Because of this I cannot really recommend it at all, though that doesn't mean it won t help other people. Regrettably it just hasn't helped me at all. Because of this I will not buy and carry on with GOPO.

grannymary Wed 02-Jan-19 16:27:13

I’ve noticed quite a reduction in both joint pain and subsequently in my mobility although the pain in my hip is back over the last week or so. I intend to keep using the capsules and have spoken about them to family members and friends as something I would recommend them to try.

Biddysue Wed 02-Jan-19 16:25:07

I have taken this now for 3 months and found that staying on 2 capsules a day helps with general stiffness in my hands and elbows.
My knees are quite painful though - I think I need new ones !
I think that if your joints are not needing replacement this product helps with the pain and stiffness and I would recommend anyone suffering to try it.
I have not had any side effects with the 3 months of taking GOPO apart from the very beginning which was a very mild tummy problem.
I shall purchase more to maintain the improvement I have felt .

BlueBelle Wed 02-Jan-19 14:45:38

I would Ike to say thank you for letting me take part in the trial unfortunately there has been no difference at all in my joint pains so I won’t be purchasing any further from you and I won’t automatically recommend to anyone else but if asked I d definitely say it’s worth giving it a try they may work for others but didn’t for me sadly

ayjay Wed 02-Jan-19 14:14:37

I have had quite a few quite good weeks with my joints. I have had a bit less pain at night and some days with less stiffness. I would say overall they have had a bit of an effect, but it hard to judge when I have bad spells and better spells.

I haven't noticed any side effects.

Psalmody Wed 02-Jan-19 13:27:50

I have been very impressed that the bursitis has been put on the back burner since establishing GOPO in my daily routine. I have already ordered some more as it has made such a difference, especially as the anti-inflammatorys gave me huge side effects and didn't increase my mobility. I also didn't need to take up the offer of an x-ray from my GP. Thank you so much for including me on this trial.

GrAnne2 Wed 02-Jan-19 12:25:44

I have completed the full 3 month course. There was nothing to dislike about the packaging or the product (other than the number of tablets required each day!). My arthritis is in finger joints and I did initially feel my joints were more comfortable, but no earth-shattering improvement .

Nannyflo Mon 03-Dec-18 10:53:56

I’m now on the maintenance dose. If I’m totally honest, I haven’t noticed any change in my joint pain. I will continue to take the capsules until they have all been used.

halfgran Sat 01-Dec-18 13:02:57

Took the 6 a day for 3 weeks and now on maintenance dose I find them easy to take but good the capsules can be opened and sprinkled on food, I mentioned this to a friend who has problems taking tablets and a few others about the trial they await more feedback. I described them as a heath food supplement made from rosehip and the vitamin c content.
My initial improvements continue. My hands are not as stiff, painful and swollen and am now able to wear rings that previously didnt fit. I also realised the other morning my feet and ankles are not stiff when I get up in the mornings. I have also greatly reduced my pain medication and will be continuing with these after the 3 month supply is finished.

LadyO Wed 28-Nov-18 14:29:52

I’m getting on ok with taking the tablets, no adverse side effects... however I do sometimes forget to take the evening dose... ?
I haven’t mentioned them to anyone else yet, but I like the fact that they are a natural product.
My knuckles are very painful and I haven’t been able to wear any rings for quite some time - I think they may be improving slightly... I will keep taking the GoPo and keep my (swollen) fingers crossed!

Second review after 6 weeks
how am I getting on? How I am religiously taking my maintenance dose each morning with no problems I have to take them with my toast as I keep getting them stuck with drink only They are big but that doesn’t bother me
Have I told anyone? only in general conversation not to recommend at this point
How do I describe them? a herbal supplement of 100% Rose hip that hopefully helps with joint health
Have they helped? unfortunately I haven’t noticed any difference so far joint aches and pains are just the same as before
I am glad to have had the opportunity to have tried though

Molly10 Sun 25-Nov-18 20:54:45

I took the full dose of 3 tablets twice daily for the first 5 weeks and I've now reduced this to the maintenance dose of 2 tablets twice daily. I have been taking these religiously with no problems.

I haven't mentioned these to anyone yet as I would prefer to continue with the whole trial before I recommend or otherwise to friends or family.

I would describe them as a joint pain supplement based on a rose hip derivative which is high in Vitamin C.

I feel very positive about these after noticing a reduction in joint pain particularly in the hands. I am hopeful this continues throughout the reduced dosage.

Proseccomimama Sun 25-Nov-18 18:03:51

My symptoms are very variable (as usual). I have not noticed any significant improvement but am persevering with the treatment.

ayjay Sun 25-Nov-18 17:16:06

I've had a bad flare up (which happens). The hand, wrist pain was quite shortlived - which is better than usual. I've also had bad hip pain, but I think this is just progressive and an intense flare up of my hip bursitis - but this subsided quicker than usual. So I am finding it hard to assess the effects.

Maceym00 Sun 25-Nov-18 15:37:41

Is this sample still available? I have fibromyalgia and arthritis and would be very interested in trying a free sample.

jojochurchy Sun 25-Nov-18 11:44:08

I am 60, with arthritis in knees. Had high hopes of this supplement but after two weeks was in so much pain had to take painkillers. supplements were large so at first I sprinkled onto food but now getting used to them. Packaging discreet.
After first stage, still in pain and no improvement noticed but I persevere.

Psalmody Sun 25-Nov-18 10:58:39

I have been in a lot of pain with bursitis in my hips which had affected all activities, especially getting out with our dogs. Since taking GOPO there has been a huge improvement, especially in the last 3 weeks. I have been able to stop taking anti-inflammatory pain killers. Very happy to be trialing ?

Noraturner Fri 23-Nov-18 21:16:46

Getting on very well ,taking the capsules has become a part of my daily routine.I have told my daughter about the capsules and she hope they will help.I would describe them as a welcome health product.I have definitely found an improvement in my mobility and less pain in my joints,

kittykat692 Thu 22-Nov-18 10:43:52

- How are you getting on with the supplements?

I'm getting on with them ok. The capsules are very big and I may try sprinkling them on food tomorrow.

- Have you spoken about them to anyone else?
Have mentioned them to a few friends who are interested to see how I get on.

- How would you describe them to someone who didn’t know?
A rosehip supplement that may help with joint pain.

- Have you noticed any changes with your joint pain or mobility?
I haven't noticed any changes personally but fingers crossed!

grannymary Wed 21-Nov-18 20:21:29

I’m getting on well with the GOPO capsules. I’ve mentioned to quite a few friends that I’m trialling them and that I feel they’re having a positive impact on my joint mobility and that I have less pain in my joints. I’ve tried supplements previously, namely turmeric capsules and omega3 capsules and not noticed such a positive change.

rascal Wed 21-Nov-18 18:15:43

I am getting on well with the supplements. No problem taking it. I just open the capsules and sprinkle them on food.

I have not spoken about them to anyone else as I don't know anyone who has problems like me. But if I do I will mention them.

I would describe them as listed on the container; GOPO Rosehip Capsules helps maintain healthy & flexible joints. GOPO Joint Health is a unique patented food supplement made from specially cultivated rose-hip. It is rich in Vitamin C.

I have not noticed any changes with my joint pain and mobility. I sometimes waken during the night with horrendous pain and I'm very stiff during the day too.

I live in hope.

I've now been taking the GOPO Joint Health supplements for 6 weeks, and I've noticed an improvement in my well-being. I live with rheumatoid arthritis which is particularly troublesome in my hands, and so I'm really pleased that the pain and stiffness seems to be reducing. A number of people have commented that I'm more dexterous, and so I've been telling them about how delighted I am to be a Gransnet 'tester' of GOPO. I've been explaining that it an easy to take supplement derived from rosehips which may have a positive effect on joint health.
I'm looking forward to reporting back how continued use will (hopefully) maintain this improvement, and maybe even progress it further...

* I am enjoying using the contents of the capsules as part of my normal everyday routine as I sprinkle them on my morning muesli and my evening yogurt. I find them very easy to digest this way and like the flavour.
* Since taking them, I have noticed this food supplement in Boots chemists and seen some online advertising for it. However, I have not noticed enough difference to share with others.
* I would describe them as a food supplement along the lines of a prebiotic.
* I am 66 years old and have arthritis and joint pain due to having a connective tissue disease. Currently I have not experienced any real difference but should like to as this is a natural product.

Angelwhisper Tue 20-Nov-18 18:01:48

My second review of GOPO and have completed approx. five weeks on full dose and now on maintainance dose. Have had no adverse effects from these capsules however as yet have not really noticed any significant change in my symptoms but am aware our bodies being different it may take a little longer for benefits to show for me and I am determined to complete this trial and see the final result. On a positive note I suffer from psoriasis and have had a fantastic result there with my skin clearing up for the first time in years so maybe that in its own would be worth continuing with GOPO after the trial for me. Family have all been aware that I am taking these and have noticed a change in my skin condition. Still being positive that my pain and stiffness will lessen towards end of trial. Thank you for including me.

I am about to start second lot of capsules I am getting on ok with tablets and finding them easier to take with milk.I have spoke to several work colleagues about them and all of them were interested to find out if they make a difference. I have described them as a natural supplement that are from a plant berry. At the moment I haven't found any difference in my joint pain however the last couple of nights I haven't been woken in the night with shoulder pain so fingers crossed I am going to see a permanent improvement
