The Idiot's mother has been quite pushy with DD about seeing the DGC but has never mentioned the fact that DD and her son have split up. DD is more than happy for her MiL to have a relationship with the children as, apart from the morality of it, she (and we!!) gets a break.

Today, DD dropped them off with MiL at 10 am and went to the 'marital home' to finish collecting her stuff. The Idiot was there, told her that she could sing for any money and he wasn't having the children as they were hers! If she tried to get any money he would make himself bankrupt confused Then he left!

Following her instincts, DD drove past her MiL's house and saw that his car was there. She went to collect the children at 2 pm, sat down to be pleasant and asked Bertie what he had been doing. MiL chimed in really quickly with playing cars, tractors etc. DD then asked Bertie if there had been any visitors. MiL said 'Of course not!' angry

Sorry for the rant - my best friend is having new windows - I feel better now!!

Does your MiL and son really think that Bertie won't let the cat out of the bag at some point?! I hope that they haven't told him that the 'visitor' is their 'secret'. How sad for you all that it's come to this.

angry for you and DD, Kitty....... sounds as if the Idiot and his Ma had an 'arrangement'.... pardon me if I am being too cynical!
I have a friend whose ex has jumped thro' fiery hoops to prevent her getting any of 'his' money. He always controlled bank accounts even 'taking charge' of money left to her by her family, using her earnings to pay for the childrens' education so that she now has little pension (she made no contributions on his 'advice'!) I could go on......
Much sympathy Kitty

So very sad when adults allow their anger and pain to put children in difficult situations. So unfair to model telling lies to Bertie and making him a pawn in their game. He will see it for himself as he gets older.
I can understand your anger and frustration.flowers

Kitty flowers for you so so unfair to little one to be put in this situation and so childish of MIL to think for one minute she can hide things from you.
