SUPPRESSING PAIN

You lot are a tonic - sadly no garden shed live in an apartment and even howling in the beautiful courtyard would be heavenly but don`t want to upset the neighbours. Strangely I didn`t even in my head utter an oath must remember for next time. phoenix your friend is quite right DH is a survivor if I hadn`t had two painful episodes already today I would slap myself for being so negative. Why is it that a well chosen oath relieves pain ?, but it does help. Down the garden and let it all out.

I think a quick (or not so quick!) oath works well but I understand OP not wanting to upset her DH.

You could go down to the bottom of the garden (or in the shed!) and have a good howl!

DON'T grit your teeth, I broke one in two doing just that - it would have been much less damage if I had thumped the settee!

Sparky, my husband fell off a ladder and broke his back. I could never complain about back pain to him. Just had to think about how much worse his was.
