How do you celebrate your anniversary?

We don't always do the same thing. Sometimes we go away and other times we go out for a meal but we always do celebrate and do something special for the big ones.

Next month my cousin and her husband will be staying with us on the day so we are all going to the theatre together and maybe a meal too.

Most of them are good celebrations but twice Mr N has booked surprises and managed to get it wrong. The most boring flat part of France with nothing to do and Gibraltar where I think there is only one really good hotel and we were not in it! I would much prefer a country hotel in UK in February!

Its our 37th this month. We are going to Stratford on Avon to see a play (Love for Love Congreve) a matinee so tickets on £12 each then a special offer hotel stay with breakfast £87 for 2 (Booking.com) and we don't buy presents or cards or involve anyone else.

45 years coming up in May, so will have a party when we are staying at Rutland Water with the family, and also a party here in the mountains... normally we don't make a fuss- but we did go to South Africa for our 25th, with sil and bil.

Same as Pittcity although we have just gone out for a meal just us two.

We have gone away for recent anniversaries on short breaks. No presents or families involved, bliss!

Ours is coming up soon and I'm not sure what we should be doing to celebrate? It's our 33rd so not a particular milestone or anything. Do you still celebrate yours? What do you do?
