Jollier Divorce Question this time

I know this is very individual but I am looking for comforting rituals to get me through my divorce. Hugging a pillow in bed, sewing whilst watching Tattoo Fixers are small pleasures that have helped. Has anyone got any other suggestions?

Do you have a pet? They can be great sources of comfort and a generally sympathetic sounding board.

How about making a list of all the things you can do/see/eat/drink/enjoy/wear now that you couldn't when you had a husband? There are always some things that we don't do because 'they' don't want to, or eat because 'they' don't like etc. Just making the list will cheer you up and you never know, you might be inspired to try something new...good luck!

Drink Champagne and dance on the table.

Keep a diary or join a creative writing group,

While drinking the champers (in the bath?) Think of all the things that you can eat in bed garlic, onions, huge box of chocolates!

When you feel up to it, make some plans.
The wackier the better!
You know the things.
Wing walking, scuba diving.
Or just a new experiance or hobby

Oh and let us GNetters how you getting on

Remember onwards and upwards

And of course that advice from a certain beauty manufacturer

joata I wondered if you like wandering through art galleries and museums - you can do this on line for free and perhaps lose yourself in some beautiful art for a few hours. Personally I find Classic FM is balm for the soul and their website is very good. If you have some time why not become a Gransnet Local editor its quite absorbing, passes the time and you get to discover a lot about the area you live in and it might open so nice new doors for you. Good Luck with it. flowers

Sounds a bit silly but I bought myself a really pretty china cup and saucer.

Sunday's could be very quiet so I used to go to a yoga class so that I had some company.

The very last thing that I wanted was another man but I met one very quickly and we are still very happy together 23 years later.
