Why not start a new thread under the "meetups and where are you" label (here - www.gransnet.com/forums/meet_ups_where_are_you ) asking who would like to meet you for coffee and a talk about planning to go somewhere together? Suggest a possible place and date but say you are open to other ideas.

If there is already a Gransnet group in that area who meet up, someone might answer and invite you to join them, if there is not, there could be people who would like to start one with you.

Also - The local.gransnet.com/liverpool-wirral page is looking for a local editor - if you have some time to spare and like organising things, that could be you!
