DARNING SOCKS, Mrs. P would cut my bits off if I suggested darning socks, what is the bedroom bin for.

I love darning . So soothing. But only pure wool.

Give it another ten years or so!

On reflection, I think I'd prefer it if it were about socks!!

50 years of marriage and all the essentials in working order - give that man a medal. smile

Or was this JUST about socks!! hmm

Having had mine for fifty years last Saturday, I can attest to the fact that, though he is thinning on top and things are starting to migrate south, all essential working parts are in good order! As for me, I'm saying nothing!

I noticed my toe sticking through my sock today. I asked DH where HE had put the sewing box. I darned my first sock in 44 years of marriage ! Send the men round in white coats I've lost it. grin

grin I've had mine for a while too kateycrunch and he's definitely getting worn round the edges but then so am I, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I wonder what people who marry someone who is much older think when their loved one gets a bit worn out!

Hubby putting his trainers on this morning...looks at his sock heel and says "oooo, it's wearing a bit thin". Too bloody right I thought!, did make me chuckle (I've had him for 42 years, it was bound to happen, snort lol).
