Lovely poem, nina1959 and congrats on your good news nanaK54. My DS sent me two cards; one of them said "Thanks for wiping my bum and stuff!" I sent him a text saying "just pray you never have to wipe mine"!
The card one of my DDs sent me had a line drawing of a woman watching two children hanging from the lampshade - the wording was: "Thanks for looking after my crazy kids..........and loving them as much as me."
I had a very special surprise in my card from oldest son and daughter-in-law......it was a photo of a positive pregnancy test - wow! I am not allowed to share this news with RL friends but they didn't say anything about GN friends!!!
Wishing you all a happy mothers day/mothering Sunday.
I wrote a poem for you all. x
Mother A mother is always a mother She loves like no other Her feelings bruised and battered Some days she feels shattered But somehow she stays strong Through days that are long Always original and unique Nothing about her is weak Her story often untold Her life cast into a mould Often not of her choosing But she knows it's not about losing Lifting her head upwards And her footsteps continuing forwards She only knows how to keep giving Because this makes life worth living And so she is like no other. That's why she is called Mother.
