I'm getting married in July. Has anyone suggestions for music that's a bit different? I have chosen 'Happy' by Mary Duff as the entrance music, soft with lovely words. However I'm at a loss for register signing and exit music. it will be in the register office so nothing to churchy.

Agree with Elsie. Ashokan Farewell is lovely as is the love theme from TheGodfather.
The Greig Wedding Day was written for a Silver Wedding.

I just looked up 'Your Love is Lifting me Higher' on You Tube Polskasue and found a fabulous video of Fred Astaire and Rita Hayworth dancing to the sound track. I feel so happy now! Thank you. Link below:

Youngest daughter had Pachelbel to walk in to the room where she married and My Best Friend by Queen to walk out.

My DS and DIL had "Your love is lifting me higher" by Jackie Wilson. So HAPPY it was an utter delight.

Ashokan Farewell would be lovely for during the signing. A friend of mine had it for coming in to her wedding.

How about "Til there was You" always a popular choice by brides when the choir I used to sing with was asked to sing at weddings.

Abba’s “ I do, I do, I do” will get everyone dancing in the aisles !!

When my daughter married for the 2nd time she made her entrance to Greatest Day by Take That, and exited to The Beatles, All You Need Is Love. It was very joyful and uplifting occasion for us all!

How about ‘We’ve only just begun’ by the Carpenters.

'Try before you buy' so U Tube 'Music for Weddings' should give you an idea.

Personally though for my second wedding I had Enya/Riverdance/Trumpet Voluntary/Jesu joy of Man’s Desiring

My DS & DIL had A thousand years and then At Last. Beautiful

My BF though had Third Finger Left Hand. Jolly and for the line «friends said it couldn’t be done»!

Edvard Grieg Wedding Day at Troldhauen, or Alla Marcia by Sibelius. Both very happy and hopeful but calm.

My daughter’s friend married a lovely man who had been married twice before, so he picked “There may be trouble ahead” which they exited too which brought a smile to everyone’s faces, this was several years ago and they are still happily married

Exit music - Lets face the music and dance?

If it's a second marriage, Not Too Much To Ask by Mary Chapin Carpenter

After 40 years together we regularised matters at the Registry Office. As a musician, I am allergic to 'background music' and specifically requested silence before the ceremony. This, apparently, wasn't allowed, we got Pachelbel's 'Canon', with an arbritary and un-musical cut-off. They also ignored many of our preferences regarding other parts of the ceremony. And the Registrar arrived 10 minutes late.

The small wedding party repaired to the local Wetherspoons for Mixed Grills. They'd run out of peas. And to top it all, I mislaid my bus pass.

Didn't matter though.

My daughter had ‘At last’ by Etta James as she walked up a flight of stairs to the aisle. She then had the traditional Northumbrian fiddle and pipes, we are Northumbrian and she was married in Northumberland ?

My DD and DSil had 'Bring me sunshine' (Eric Morecambe and Ernie Wise signature tune), as their exit music. It was brilliant!
