I'm getting married in July. Has anyone suggestions for music that's a bit different? I have chosen 'Happy' by Mary Duff as the entrance music, soft with lovely words. However I'm at a loss for register signing and exit music. it will be in the register office so nothing to churchy.

Whatever you choose, I'm sure it will be lovely! Have a wonderful day!

First, congratulations and best wishes!

Second, I love the idea of "Let's face the music and dance" for an exit song. Also, "Celebrate!" Anything lively that's appropriate. For the register signing, if it's a second wedding, there was a song years ago that I think was called "The Second Time Around" (with lines like "Love is lovelier the second time around," etc.). If it's a first wedding, then maybe "At Last," as some have suggested. Or Dean Martin's "Everybody Loves Somebody Sometime."

On a slightly different note, my neighbour, a lovely man, had "You'll never know how much I love you", at his wife's funeral, followed by "You are my sunshine".
I was in bits. They had been married for 60 years and he adored her.
My father used to sing "You are my sunshine" to my mother as well.

A couple who married at our church had a very unusual song choice - 'Time to say goodbye' . We had to learn it with the verses in Italian. I'd not heard it before and although it was beautiful I kept thinking it was a strange choice. I had a recording of it played at the end of my mum's funeral service a few years later!

When my friend was getting married last year she wanted suggestions for music to play. I suggested Shania Twayne meaning "from this moment" She had me in stitches when she said she thought I was suggesting "That don't impress me much"

Unchanged melody. Exit music - At last by Etta James. Signed, sealed, delivered by Stevie Wonder. At Last is beautiful. Keep us posted.

Hello I have only posted here a couple of times but wanted to wish you a lovely wedding day. I’ve always loved the song Tangled up in you by Staind have a look on you tube. My late husband loved it too?

Whatever you fancy is the best thing. My daughter got married in church and had Eric Clapton's Layla playing as she entered the church. Her name is Leila. No hymns but a lovely song by Pink, unfortunately her young husband died 2 years later and the music was yet again very celebratory of their love.

Our daughter and husband exited to The Proclaimers - (If I could walk) 5000 miles - fantastic, everyone was singing and laughing

annifrance Wed 03-Apr-19 13:35:13

The Wind Beneath My Wings by whoever is appropriate. Highland Wedding is lovely.
